Carry-on Travel Stroller $254.80 Delivered ($272.30 inc. Backpack) @ Karion Kids

90
EOFY-30

Lightweight and compact travel stroller which can fit in a plane's overhead carry-on luggage compartment.

Looks to be about half-to-a-third the price of other brand name travel strollers, and seems to be lighter and easier to open and pack up.

All strollers come with an over-the-shoulder carry-bag included, but there is also the extra option of purchasing a backpack.

I've just ordered one, so I'll see how good it really is soon.

From the website:

The Karion Travel Stroller is an Ultra Compact, light-weight all-terrain stroller, which weighs just 5.5Kg’s and so small, it easily fits in airlines overhead lockers! It is suitable for a baby from 6 months up to 18 kg (approx. 4 years)

Free Shipping Australia wide. Same day dispatch if ordered by 10am. Express Shipping available, although due to the package size, it is $19

  • This or the Pockit?

    • +1

I was comparing the two myself. The GB Pockit looks like it has a few extra steps to open and lock in place.

The Karion opens in a second with the touch of a button - and is cheaper. That sold me!

      • but the pockit is almost 1kg lighter - my case is a bit different, as my son is 5 years old, and I'd be using on a trip only (when visiting museums or something like that). I don't want the kid saying that he's tired while I'm visiting a place once in my lifetime.

Seems that you're correct about the GB Pockit Air All-Terrain. But the cheapest I can find (bubs n grubs website) is $30 more without a carry bag or free delivery (+$47 for bag+shipping).

          Also, it doesn't recline.

@HeyMiki: yes, reclining for me is not a requirement. I hope that you enjoy your Karion.

i got the pockit and the mountain buggy nano

the pockit was great, small and lightweight, semi easy to open ( similar to this one, u have to flick it) u could also make it smaller by tucking i t he back wheels, not sure if this model can

the mountain buugy nano was larger, had recline and also pricer
i could actually place the folded pockit in the nano buggy holder at the bottom

the mountain buggy is sliglty bigger which means some airline could be annoying and say its a bit big ( u can remove the wheels)

if i had the chance i would get the mountain buggy, was more of a comfortable sit and easier to fold. but the pockit served me well

  • have had no issues with the Yoyo which is carry-on compliant and looks to be more useful over the lifetime of a child

    • it's not "backpackable" though

      • you just need a bag that fits the pram,

Babyzen does also sell a 'backpack' for the yoyo

        or get one from amazon/aliexpress

        • If you are expecting to be carrying it a lot in the backpack, every kilo makes a big impact. I had a Yoyo generic one and it was fantastic - it quickly became our go-to pram for every day, not only for travel. But in circumstances when the kid will be majorly walking, that's when these extra-portable models come in handy.

          • @renaldof: get an umbrella stroller

            • @impoze: Not handy to be carried as you walk around for a few days.

Very different price points though. Even if it's a long term "investment" a lot of parents aren't willing to fork out that much for a stroller.

      • can pick one up for similar price on marketplace

  • If anyone can suggest a good travel stroller under $200?

    • +1

You can get a cheap and cheerful $25 foldable stroller from Big W or Baby Bunting, but I haven't found a cheaper stroller that fits in an aircraft overhead locker that's cheaper than the Karion.

Terrible brand name, homonym of carrion kids.

    • that's a business opportunity waiting to happen, then

  • Where do you enter the code for the sale ?
