Hi everyone, found a better priced copy of mega man battle network Japanese multi language version that's currently going for approximately $80 every where I looked.

Thought I would update the post seeing some of the questions:

  • No EU or AUS physical version has been announced and only online availability confirmed
  • Copied from Amazon: This product is a set of Mega Man Exe Advanced Collection Vol. 1 and Mega Man Exe Advanced Collection Vol. 2. This software includes 10 pieces including different versions from Mega Man Exe to Mega Man Exe 6, and has added new elements. Mega Man Exe 4.5 is not included
  • Multi language version includes English as one of the options

Hope this helps :)

  • I was literally just about to buy this from the US. This is just the first part of the collection, yeah?

It has both collections. I have the Japanese version and it installed both on my home screen and they are 100% in English.

Thanks. The language wasn't a concern, have multiple Japanese Switch games from travel. Usually not an issue if it has an international release at all. Just saw separate listings for this and part 2 which is sold digital only. Cool that they're combined.

        Edit: I grabbed one, thanks.

  • Woah so cheap. Nice find OP

  • Got one nice thanks OP

Wait, is this not available in Australia? Do we need to grey import physical copies?

Holy crap, I'm so glad you guys posted this, I didn't even know this was released, been waiting for it since direct announcement

  • $57 with JP cover
Or wait a little and pay the same for an EU cover?

My backlog is huge… This will probably sit on a shelf forever.

    Thoughts?

    • I mean, JP cover is pretty cool tho any particular reason you want the eu cover?

      • EU holds value better in our market. Also I like covers I can read (and that's coming from someone who did learn Japanese for a couple of years). But hey if this is going to be a short print run I'll deal with the JP cover.

    • I don't care much for covers, but it seems like you do. So does your question even need answering?

    • Was a physical release announced for EU? I thought it was just NA and JP?

      • Oh, well NA if no EU

  • I've only played the normal series and X series, how does this compare to them?

Battle network games are RPGs similar to the Pokemon series.

Instead of turn-based battles like pokemon though, you battle on a fixed 'grid'.

As opposed to the platforming/action gameplay of the normal and X series.

      • Oh wow, are they similar to ff tactics/tactics ogre then? Huge fan of both.

No, nothing like that. It's much easier to just watch a video of it as it' an unque genre.

It's an action game in which there's 3 horizontal lanes you can travel, alot like some beat em ups. These lanes split in half, half your territory and half enemy territory. You can only move within your territory, and you are balancing between ability that steals territory, or ability that does things to enemies. These abilities are sorted in a card system, that you can make combos out of.

Closest way to explain it is if Slay the spire's card system is placed into a beat em up.

I'm a speedrunner of this series, the combat is super addictive and unique, One Step from Eden is a game inspired by this, but if you don't know that there really isn't anything you can compare it to. It's a run around RPG with deckbuilding elements and combat is grid based.

      • There's literally nothing else aside from one step of Eden and end cycle VS. at most, you can make a link to KH chain of memories, and even that's superficial.

It's crazy to me how this series got 8 games but it took this very recently to see a resurgence. This game even has a competitive scene for goodness sake.
