Are Gas Stove Tops Cancerous?

Saw this on news.com.au ‘Worse than passive smoking’: Warning about gas stoves and was wondering what the general consensus was.

Due to lease renewal soon and thinking whether I should consider a hotplate or induction cooktop place!

    • What meter do you use?

When the meter does not pick up any change while boiling water for 20min on a gas stovetop - this means you would have found the solution to all pollution problems of burning gas in the world. Sorry … you meter is useless.

You rangehood can't be powerful as the meter picked up changes while cooking with the frying pan.

  • Feel more like Leo's to me

  • I dont think it is cancerous, unless you like really do something stupid, like burn something idiotic.

But if you are living in a state with Dan Andrews, you wont be able to get gas soon in future new homes, ( ONLY TO CAUSE VICTORIANS TO PAY MORE AND MORE FOR ELECTRICITY due to RISING DEMANDS, Emmissions, Lack of supply etc)

  • I surely hope not we have had one for years
