Appears to be good value for those that need lots of data. Ends June 30, unless sold out prior. Stay safe, and enjoy :)

Yes
I had no problems recharging last month when it was on special….. You loose any credit left on your current plan if it is not due…
Voucher expires at 11:59pm AEST on 31/07/2023
so, it can be activated until 31st July. I may go for it
Great thanks TA! Been waiting for a plan like this before my current one expires in 3 days. Appreciate it!
Just seen the email too! Have also been waiting, last years plan expires in 3 weeks!
Beware depending on your location or phone, coverage may suck. I live in western suburbs of Brisbane and the year I was with Kogan was horrible. I have a Samsung S21 FE 5G.
Often would get next to no reception in places like shopping centres or the gym. Things would take FOREVER to load. Calls would drop constantly. It was almost gauranteed that if I made a call, it would drop at some point.
Changed to boost mobile and its fine.
YMMV, some people have great success with Kogan. This was just my experience.
That's why start with free one month is better.
Indeed!
This sort of thing is very personal/location dependent, in my experience Vodafone is better than Optus in Brisbane. At the Springfield Orion shopping centre I struggle to get any reception with Boost Mobile (iPhone 13 Pro) whereas my wife has no issues with Kogan.
Yeah definitely, but worth testing before locking in for a year imo
Damn it I literally transferred to Boost and am a regular at Springfield. Is this most of the shopping centre?
I haven't been for several months though can remember struggling to get a webpage to load in the Coles/Big W sections of the centre.
@Marrk: I work as a LPO there so that's going to suck a big one…
All depends on where the nearest tower of the supplier is relative to you. Telstra and Optus are so bad in my area people used to complain everytime I was on the phone to them, even a landline! Theres a Vodafone tower right near me. Id recommend people search for phone towers in their area and see which ones are around.
Nice find arse. Using math the 300gb plan equates to $11.25 per month.
Using math
I'd normally bake a cake, sprinkle it with 135 seeds representing a dollar each, then cut into 12 equal slices and count the seeds on them.
Boy did I say equal? It's not always equal and I never get such "11.25" precision!
Surprised you wouldn’t make a pizza with 135 pieces of pepperoni or something.
I'd try that before trying maths!
"Maths", unless you are using American English and then it is "math" ;)
Great prices, however Kogan uses Vodafone network, so I guess Boost (full Telstra network) for my primary number is going to be safer for the next 12 months.
Boost has 140GB for $170 and 260GB for $250 both with some international calls included. Much more expensive compared to this offer, but somehow I trust Boost more. And I'm not that desperate for GBs.
nice just in time for me to churn from my boost yearly plan to something else (although its annoying having to do this, why can't they give discounts to customers to make them stay so they don't churn to another provider???)
ah shucks, yeah i don't really want to go to a new provider thats poorer than telstra but i can't stay on boost unless i pay for the more expensive plans :(
Good to know there's going to be more sim-hopping in 12 months. I'm looking for a new provider because Amaysim has little to offer after their iPhone 12 Mini with 90-Day 250GB SIM deal.
Thanks for this TA, was literally looking an hour ago and bummed that I missed out on last week's deals so good to know I've scraped in this time with the recharge :)
Does kogan support 5G yet?
Apparently it's in a trial period until further notice: https://www.koganmobile.com.au/about/kogan-mobile-5g-trial/
EDIT: Only the "Large Monthly Plan" so not relevant here.
I was on Kogan with 500GB 365days last year and I got 5G, but the bandwith is capped.
I have change to wws mobile three days ago and now kogan put this offer in front of me, I will buy one for my wife.
I wouldn't bank on it being available even capped, as it's possible they removed the other plans later in the trial (as some other providers have done).
Been waiting for this. Cheers.
Been with Kogan for like 6 years now and have had almost no issues with them. Vodafone network isn't nearly as bad as it used to be and depending on where you live you could easily have issues with optus or telstra as well. My bank didn't believe that I was only spending $12/month on my phone when I applied for a home loan and required proof lol.
Aha, banks are weird! A friend of mine has a special test and when she was applying for a new loan they asked her if she had a life condition (she doesn't, but she needs to do this special scan every couple of years). So they look thoroughly in every aspect of our spending!
Me and my husband spend even less than you (with different offers), probably between $5-10 each a month on mobile phone.
Yep, I haven't spent more than $10/month for my mobile in years (I don't need more than 10GB/month) and Voda network works pretty much everywhere I need it (mostly use it in very well populated areas/cap cities).
Wait until they see the Turkish Netflix subscription for $130.99TL!
I'm on the Kogan monthly auto recharge plan 40GB for $25,
Am I allowed to use this voucher and stop the auto recharge ?
Yes but you need to call
Cheers bruh. Calling India now
Shopback has 8% discount on $100 gift card. So the total comes down to $127 for 300gb plan
Careful with this - not seeing a gift card option in the check out page
You have to redeem it separately as a voucher which then will appear as credit, which you can later apply during payment. Just did the same
Kogan applies credits(can be sourced from multiple gift cards) first.
Or you have select Ultimate giftcards that can cover the amount.
I see that one of the conditions for Kogan Gift card is that it can’t be used for KoganMobile.
Are we confident that we can load the Kogan card to Kogan, and then use the credit to pay for this plan?
@Bargain2020: It is about which website, not product. Kogan Mobile has its own website.
Ugh, bought two weeks ago at 30% off. How annoying.
does anyone know if I can delay the activation till few months down the track?
Need to activate by 31/07/2023
Terms state “The unique Kogan Mobile voucher must be redeemed by 11:59pm AEST on 31/08/2023”
my vouchers states “The unique Kogan Mobile voucher must be redeemed by 11:59pm AEST on 31/07/2023”
I’ve activated a month past the redeem date previously. I just called the support number and explained I wasn’t aware there wasn’t a redemption date. They were happy to activate it for me for 12 months from the call date
It annoys me how these muppets are always screwing around with these offers. Just put them all out on the same day!
I would have waited for this $135 deal instead of purchasing the below $99 plan just a couple of weeks ago.
Offers come and go. It sucks but that’s how it works! I got the $100 offer and very happy with it. (I am a low data user)
Nope. Last year they put out a special 365 day offer on a discount price. They then proceeded to lower that price less than a week later. That's not how it works with 99.9% of companies. They generally don't try and p#ss off their customer base by pulling stunts like that and Kogan do it repeatedly.
I'm happy to pay extra and stay away from Kogan
Hmmmm, my plan still has 91 days on it.
Do I get this and recharge at end of July?
I've only used 33Gb so I don't need the data that bad. Just nice to have 300Gb especially if I do some travelling over the next year.
Decisions decisions.
As an aside to this, does anyone know what the cheapest 365 day plan is with a gig or two data (from any carrier). I have no immobilizer in my car right now and was thinking of getting a 4g gps tracker to throw in it in case someone pinches it.
Not sure how much data those things use but you might want to look into Amaysim As You Go or Aldi PAYG sim.
Amaysim - 5c per MB data and Aldi - 6c per MB so it might add up too fast.
Another option for 90 days - Catch Connect 20GB for $21 (expires 27/6)
Why not use an Airtag?
Cos many people use android phones?
Not sure if any of you guys experienced the Kogan data meter running out faster than any other service provider?
Actually the opposite for me with Kogan. I knew exactly what I downloaded on mobile data and I had more left. Used Coles for a month they were definitely cheating data. Vodafone I actually had to go to the Ombudsman to prove they took 100s of GB away.
Had the same thing with Vodafone, they are running a scam!
How do they charge for data?
Amaysim and Boost charge in 1kb data sessions (so if your phone pings to check for an email and finds none then they record you used 1kb), but if Kogan charge in 1mb sessions then this will explain?
can i use the home giftcard to pay for this? its currently 10% off at Wollies
You must have some credits balance to bring the amount under $100 before you can use it.
Kogan does not process Kogan eGC purchase made by Ultimate Home as you may think to buy one first and stack some later. As someone mentioned above, Kogan Group eGC from SB may be the best way(one plus one Ultimate Home).
It says unlimited calls and texts for 24 months. So im assuming data lasts for 12 months. Can anyone confirm?
Clearly a mistake. It’s 365 days only
Would this Sim work in 4G pocket wifi modem?
Yes, unlocked or VF locked.
VF branding one may be better as I find others may not have Band 5 (850MHz).
Can you activate a phone plan from overseas? ….on holiday. Thanks
How will you get access to the SIM number which will be sitting in your letterbox?
If you already have a sim and just activating a code I'm sure it works.
Yes, I've done it using airport departure lounge wifi for the initial connection to activate, yes.
Does Kogan support receiving sms overseas?
Kogan was good for me on trains. Then switched to Vodafone for 5G. Now data cuts out on the train on both 4G/5G.
Anyone experience this even though they both use the same lines?
Thanks TA. Got one with extra 2% cashback. Cheers
I'm still with Kogan Large prepaid plan and it expires in Dec 23.
Can I recharge now to make the time cumulated to Dec 24?
No, I think it'll replace your existing plan.
Thanks Neo
Pretty good if you're always on the road. You get about 1.36986301GB a day on average.
Now the team struggle is getting these bits and bytes through their network.
1369863010 B sounds better and equates about 7610350 bits per minute!
Could I please clarify - if I use this deal to recharge I'll lose my previous recharge data?
I only recharged in April so I have about 370 gb left. I'd lose that? Thanks in advance.
Yes, I think it'll replace your existing plan.
Is there a way to check a coverage map for their / Vodafail network?
Your device needs to have B5 frequency to receive the best VF signal. Some phone made for Telstra/Optus lack it.
People are STILL giving this nasty lying cheating company $ … they will screw you as they have screwed me and many others as long as you do!
What do you mean? I have never had issues with Kogan SIMs.
Didn't say that, am telling you that the company is corrupt, constantly gets caught and fined, refuses warranty claims unless you get authorities involved and is generally an ass of a company that NO ONE should support!
Just purchased mine, note the 500GB recharge expires on the 31/07/2023.
well this is nice. i had 2 days left on last years plan i bought. i literally googled "ozbargain kogan mobile deals" just to check. yay.
Question - does kogan limit the data to equal proportions every month ie 500 ÷ 12? Can I use up all the 500gb in 3 months if I want to??
No for Q1.
Yes for Q2.
Thank you
Theres actually and option to split the 500gb by the 12m. You can see it on the product page before adding to cart
I missed it!!!
In Melbourne, i am getting 190mbps download speeds, amazing Kogan.
Was wondering if you can use these for recharge?
