Old listing, Comp Alliance just updated the thumbnails on their auctions
The
$479 deal on the RX 6700 XT is also still active under the new coupon
Just a shame it's a Gigabyte card.
What's wrong with Gigabyte?
@superforever: They don't have the best reputation lately. Some of their cards (possibly just Nvidia) are having the PCB crack. Warranty issues have been previously documented.
On the flipside, my current GPU is a Gigabyte one. However, I personally wouldn't want to trust my money to them currently.@Rail Rider95: OK, most of the time if possible I will get ASUS
@superforever: I think on AMD Sapphire is the good one.
At least it used to be.
@Rail Rider95: Wonder if that's from GPU sag and not supporting it properly
@Grish: Quite a few youtubers have covered the topic. Many theories as to why. Some suggest PCB thickness, others say it's due to the way the PCB has a cutout near the pcie tab that puts undue stress on it.
Just doesn't seem worth the trouble to take a chance on Gigabyte lately.@Rail Rider95: Definitely avoid, if only because of the flimsy excuse they give for rejecting warranty claims on those cracked PCBs
@Rail Rider95: it is not PCB thickness.
the guy measured was carelesshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wb5tlHJHVBs&t=514s
Seems like the design different might be a factor
there is a metal brace on the asus one
Might help with reducing the flex of the PCB@pinkybrain: Interesting! Thanks I hadn't seen that update.
