Keep in mind, these are all USB2 cables, they transfer data at super slow speeds (~48 Mb/s).

    Only good for charging.

    • +4

Just to add, it may not have the eMark chip inside. Without it, some Windows laptops won't let you fast charge.

Recently bought another cable (different brand). Seller wrote it has an eMark chip inside, but when I tested it, it does not.

    • Yeah, also if you need a good cable for andriod auto, get a better one like USB 3.1 or better.

    • +1

Slower speed = less chance of a fire /s

    • +1

480* Mb/s. But yeah, slow regardless.

Just needed a USB-C to USB-C cable for my dock that can charge my laptop as well as drive 2x 4K 60 Hz screens. Cost me almost $40.

      • Mbps vs Mb/s ;)

        • +3

          Mb/s IS Mbps.

You mean MBps, not Mbps. The lowercase b = bits, uppercase B = bytes.

          • @Zorlin: loll you are right!

            • +1

@croseks: I've been working in IT professionally for 13 years at this point and I still screw it up sometimes, so easy mistake to make :)

(Also, add mebibytes vs megabytes into the mix, etc - SI vs binary prefixes - and it gets a thousand times worse…)

    0.5c?

  • I saw that as $5245 for a sec

      The vendor has gone bananas.

  • Why do people keep posting Heymix products?

    • +13

maybe we're all associated with home insurance companies

    • +9

Most don't have problems with the products.

Most don't have problems with the products.

Now that's what I wanna hear from a wizened one. 👍

        Good luck…

I think I have a valid reason. A large majority of the Heymix products, especially from that seller Chargerking, often have a coupon (10-50%) on top of their chargers and charging cables. The final price is very competitive as Heymix mass produces it with not the best quality

Side note: screw that seller, I anecdotally had a crap experience with them where they denied their chargers being faulty and had crap grammar. They claimed that they have insurance and offered a home inspection or some bs.

    • To feed the trolls, including myself.

  • 5 grand for a cable - I’m in!

  • Why does this not show up for me? I posted in the other 2 pack thread with the same issue. All I see is save 8% on any 2.

    What it shows up as

it's prime exclusive, but i feel like every ozbargainer has prime

      • Ah, makes sense. Ty

      • I have prime and it shows 30%

  • Usbc to USB C

    Why are they formatted differently?

    • +1

      for mat ted

      • -3

        How is Mat these days?

    • +6

All the letters were capitals, but some have melted from the Heymix heat.

    • Why do you format differently?

    • -1

Hey, everyone loves a mix of formatting.

    • It's was a hint the cable removed some wires inside (so USB 2.0 only). Also, take a guess on whether it is eMarked or not. It could be a cable that only supports PD 2.0.

it's a $5 cable. Pixel phones are $1000 and they explode in your face or your groin.

Happened to some poor kid in illinois

I recall you posting this exact comment somewhere else for a different Heymix deal. You didn’t respond to the replies, a Heymix shill?

        • same story. happened for real

        • They're probably just a bitter tech-illiterate user who didn't get the outcome they wanted dealing with an issue.

        • Wow, 2 downvotes

        • +1

He's posted a variation of this comments tons of times. Very obsessed with this one, singular, unrelated issue for some reason

      • +4

Oh, you previously said New York. Are these even real stories?

Stop with the fixation on Pixels - If you had an issue, based on your voting history, it's probably because you cheaped out on chargers and/or cables.

Besides, everyone knows that any device with a lithium battery can catastrophically fail. You can type any mainstream device into Google and find an instance where one has failed.

        • -7

there have been many pixel explosions. new york included.

  • Just got mine delivered few minutes ago. So exciting.

  • I use the heat rubber tubes that the electricians tube.(like 5 cent in parts) Place towards the end near the usb and use a lighter to shrink it. I been using the same usb for almost 3 years now.

I think most usbs tend to fail because where the end bit over extends itself too many times

  • The fire comments are making me scared if this should be used in a car or not…

    • if your really worried about it catching fire, i would follow the suggestion above, or only charging your set device when you have time to not leave it unattended

    • This is a cable - you're much less likely to have catastrophic issues that have been discussed. I still wouldn't recommend it for the following reasons:

      • Heymix rebrand products. You have no guarantee of consistency.
      • Cables can still be faulty - insufficient grade of wire, bad connectors etc
      • Other Heymix Cables have lower review scores and durability problems mentioned
      • This is unproven as it is early on in the product's life cycle with 16 reviews. Even if you just buy on reviews(which you shouldn't), that's not a large enough sample set.
  • Is this a good or a bad deal indeed? I am so confused….

    • It's a fire deal. Literally. If you're looking to do an insurance job, 10/10 would recommend Heymix.

  • Why am I only saying a 30 percent discount and not 50 percent. I have Amazon prime. Did the seller change the deal now?
