  • Which means 10k points can cover from $50 before to $65 now. Worth it?

I did in the past and regretted it, as it’s much better to convert to velocity or KrisFlyer and use for travelling.

      • Out of interest, what would 100k points convert to and what would be needed to fly to Europe for example? Tia

Not sure about KrisFlyer but u booked (well in advance) one way Sydney to Rome with velocity for 86.000 approximately a few days before Christmas. That same ticket was at least $1900 if I didn’t have points.

        • +1

About 92k KrisFlyer points one way in economy.
Not sure if you have 100k on amex MR or kris. If you have 100K in Amex Mr then that's 50k Kris, it won't get you to Europe. India is about 45-48k. Singapore is 30,500

      • I think he means the offer is not worth, not targeting the poster.

It’s useless if you fly but if you’re simply grounded for whatever reason, it’s does offer just that little bit of value.

  • Looks decent to me.

    10000 amex points = $65

I could also convert them to 5000 qantas points, which I can sell for ~1.1-1.3c/point, so I would get $65 at the high end that way too.

If only it was easier to redeem Qantas points for business class seats. I'd value that at 1.8c/point or more.
