25% off Royal Canin (Excludes Royal Canin Veterinary Diet) + Delivery ($0 to Metro Areas with $49 Spend) @ PetCircle

1320
P1322RCEK

Found this code which appears to give 25% off Royal Canin Food

Seems to be a maximum of $99 discount, It doesn't appear to work on Budget Pet Products or other websites.
I was able to get 2x 12kg bags of Golden Retriever Adult food for $160.52 ($80.26 per bag) with auto delivery.

Not quite as good as the $70-$75 a bag I was able to get a few months ago but the best deal I can find if you're low on supplies
Seems to work with existing accounts

Can't find any T&C's but a coupon code website suggests it may expire 23rd June

Buy Costco Kirkland Signature grain free and save an F ton more.

There’s a high probability that grain free diets contribute to heart disease

      • Not disagreeing with you, but can you share some info on the topic?

I am trying to figure out what the best diet is to feed my dog. Thanks

        • I'm no expert, but any thoughts on this as a comparison to the other article? https://www.petfoodreviews.com.au/grain-free-dog-foods-heart…

          • +6

@ShortyX: I can't say with any credibility whether or not any of this information is true or not, more pointing out for everyone to do their own research

However the link you provided is for a website that most like makes money off affiliate links for dog food, many of which are grain free.
Their interest is probably to get people to buy whatever food that will make them the most money, and I would say don't really have owners interests at heart

Whereas I linked a peer reviewed journal
Regardless I would suggest doing your own research, I personally might even consider a grain free food in the future but I'm just pointing out information so everyone can make an informed decision

@Brick50: Medical things like this are hugely complex, and the sample size and lack of contextual information are such that the paper does not make a very strong case. Sadly, peer-reviewed isn't worth what it once was…

As for that website, I think (hope) they are credible, but as you said, who knows what conflicts of interest exist.

Our dog gets Stayloyal (highly rated on that website), and she gets a lot of compliments for how well and toned she looks (husky). But yeah, each to their own. If your dog is happy and healthy, don't change anything.

@Make it so: @Rodger1 stated that there is a high probability, that seems fair based on the evidence. It seems like reasonable advice, what you choose to do with that advice is up to you. Science never has all the answers, but it is an evidence based process

                • +1

@Ozimodo: That paper is actually well-written: they are not overstating the probability of what they found ("Although a cause and effect relationship cannot be proven" and "Future, controlled, prospective studies of larger sample size are needed […]"). Not sure it counts as "high probability", but it's interesting to keep in mind, which I didn't deny.

I think at the end of the day, dogs need a balanced diet that contains a bit of everything. The reason why grain-free food exists is because many dog food producers were overdoing it with the "fillers" to increase their profits.

Promised I would never buy from pet circle after I read one of those business-success-stories article where the owner spoke with pride about how much money they were saving with a whole lot of “back room” staff offshored so it would be harder to compete with them.
I get that some people don’t have an issue with that necessarily given it’s not illegal, but I personally don’t like it much and will therefore avoid. I try to go with smaller family run businesses where possible.

    • +1

Offshore how? They send my purchase in 2 days so must be local.

      • +1

Dont remember whether it was specified- but I’m guessing may include, website management, accounting/ books, call centre(?) internal IT management

        • A lot of companies do, including banks, telco etc.

    • I avoid them coz their customer service was trash when they lost one of my parcels in their own warehouse and I spent about 2 weeks trying to resolve the issue before they agreed to ship me a new order. The order was like $150 so would be absolutely nothing for them. Never again.

The code didn’t work for Royal Canin Anallergenic in Pet Circle, however, I tried the others, and it finally worked in PetBarn. Thanks a lot btw, I was furiously looking for a code this week

    • Petbarn? Did it work with Petbarn? I'm looking for cat food.

      • It worked at PetBarn for me, but only knocked $2 off a $70 order, so I didn't proceed.

  • Initiall price high but coupon brings the price slightly below competitors. Thanks OP.

  • Amex has spend $70, get $15 back. Might be targeted.

    • It is

      • I got $15 off $50.

  • +1

Thanks, worked on Vet Diet at PetBarn.

Gross, don't feed your dog this trash.

Royal Canin is just a front for the multinational Mars who are known to bribe vets and fill their kibble with cereal that is non digestible.

Better off buying the Pet Circle home brand like Instinctive Bite with 60%+ meat.

    • Taste of the Wild seems ok?

    • +3

Any chance you can link to some info regarding the connection to Mars and the non digestible kibble?

      • +1

If you follow food ingredients, when the label says ‘vegetable oil’, it meant palm oil. When a label says ‘crude protein’, let your imagination run wild. GM plants and products aren’t that rare when it comes to animal feed, because people don’t give a shit. Feed your dog real food. Your own left over is heaps better than these non-food.

      • The second, third and fourth ingredients are maize, rice, wheat.

Thank you sir! got my girl 16kg of goodies.

  • Good deal, my little lady has recently started preferring hills science, so I'll have to skip Royal Canin this time..

For those who buy Royal Canin Medium ageing 10+ Senior Dry Dog Food 15kg but don't have AMEX..

RSPCA VIC is selling it for $133 whereas the price in PetCircle is $140 after 25% off.

  • Stocked up, cheers OP.

  • Thanks Ordered!

  • Looked at Royal Cabin puppy wet food, it is twice more expensive than other brands at Woolworth for example. Is it really twice better? Just got a puppy first time a month ago. Appreciate.

    • +1

Look at the % ingredients in both, better foods should have a higher meat content with less fillers. The better ones also likely require less to be given so may not really be 2 X the price.

  • awesome, thanks heaps.

  • "premium" pet food is a great money spinner these days. If its as good as its made out, our dogs should make it to age 40!

  • +1

Didn't think i'd be buying 50kg of dog food today, but here we are

  • Thanks OP. I literally bought some a couple of days ago at full price, but got some more anyway as this cat never stops eating :D

  • Thanks OP! Very timely.

Wasn't able to get it working. Comes up with "That coupon was invalid."

  • yeah same for me

  • +3
