Hi All I have recently bought an Android google tv TCL C835 and set up the tv using the google account , but when I am installing apps like Kayo .Channel 7 , channel10 and some other apps it says these app are not available to download in your country/region not sure what’s wrong . Has someone come across this kind if issue .Any help will be greatly appreciated. TA

Your google login is having non AU profile. Create another Google account and then switch accounts in Google play store to the new one to install what you want. I don't think you need to downgrade.
Other option is to download the APK file of the application on you phone/laptop then transfer and install. This is little tricky if you haven't done before.
"Smart" never really lives up to it's name, especially cheap brands (just wait 12 months and none of the apps will be updated, making most of them useless) :/
Far far far more "Smart" to run a media box to handle all that (FireTV, ChromeCast, AppleTV, etc)
That reply was not very "smart".
TCL is not some random importer, but a major manufacturer. There is no reason why you would have problems with app updates.
I got a few years of OS updates for mine. Seems to be stopped at Android 11 now, but that does not stop you installing apps.
Eventually (>5 yrs from new) it will need a settop box, and they do have some advantages, such as faster cpu.
Factory reset and try again?
