Anyone have a good hack for cruise ship internet? P&O have a 3-tiered internet/mobile system.
I think it's:
$8/day for basic calls
$12/day for internet/calls but no video streams
$15/day for video streaming etc.
Anyone tried paying for a single device and then hotspotting to other devices or another system that worked for them?
I don't really want to pay $15/day for multiple devices.
Cheers.
One of those travel/pocket routers should work…

Also I think an Android phone can connect to Wifi and also be set up a hot spot at the same time? But it should be easy to test this before you go.
Or if there's mains power in the cabin/room then buy an old used router which is supported by Open-WRT. Then connect one of the radios to the Cruise wifi and voila. However it will be more bulky and you may need to bring a laptop with ethernet cable, but I think it could be set up with just a phone if you enable the radios before you leave.
