Yes, we should all be shopping from poor old Bunnings instead. How will they stay afloat unless we pay the $50 odd extra for every hammer they sell.

The real savings is not buying if you do not need it.. Lol

Been keeping an eye on the 20oz for a while. This 16oz is too light for framing, good for finish work though. This model has a straight claw, great for separating timbers apart and demolition, but not as good as the curved claw for pulling out nails.

    • Most high end framing hammers these days ie stiletto, martinez are straight rip claws. Hammer in one hand and a good cats paw on your belt to go in the other hand.

      • Does anyone even use hammers any more to do framing? It’s all nailguns these days. When I was a kid, building a house was a chorus of hammering sound but not any more.

        • Nail guns do all the nailing when framing but you still need to drive a 4" nail in time to time. Sometimes quicker to hand nail than walk to truck and get nailgun out for a small job.

    If I had a hammer
    I'd hammer in the morning
    I'd hammer in the evening
    All over this land
    I'd hammer out danger
    I'd hammer out a warning
    I'd hammer out love between
My brothers and my sisters, ah-ah
    All over this land
    If I had a bell
I'd ring it in the morning
I'd ring it in the evening
    All over this land
    I'd ring out danger
    I'd ring out a warning
    I'd ring out love between
My brothers and my sisters, ah-ah
    All over this land
    If I had a song
I'd sing it in the morning
I'd sing it in the evening
    All over this world
    I'd sing out danger
    I'd sing out a warning
    I'd sing out love between
My brothers and my sisters ah-ah
    All over this land
    I got a hammer
    And I've got a bell
And I've got a song to sing
    All over this land
    It's the hammer of justice
    It's the bell of freedom
It's the song about love between
    My brothers and my sisters
    All over this land
    All over this land
    All over this land
    All over this land
    All over this land
    All over this land

  • thanks Op. Christmas gifts sorted for all my kid's school friends, never too early to stock up for Christmas

    • Yea take the hammers from the Americans, they use rather guns than hammers I heard!

  • I have a pick for work, I like it.

Can't comment on its ability for "real" work though.

    Bugger missed it ☹️

  • Can you buy these at Hammerbarn?

  • +1

Damn missed it! Great hammer :(

  • I use my cheapie Trojan with fibreglass handle all the time on the farm, not heavy but good hammer anyway. Seems hard to justify spending almost 3x as much on these bigger brand name hammers.

    • Tru dat and I've never broken a hammer in my life. I'm no tradie of course.
