I recently bought this from the Samsung EPP online store but in true OzB fashion, I check periodically to see if I could have bought it cheaper if I had waited, which led me to this deal. I checked Appliance Central after seeing someone posted a great price from their website for the little brother to this soundbar - the HW-Q930C here. In fact, that bar is now even cheaper at $835 on their site.

It's the cheapest I've seen this soundbar outside the Samsung EPP store, if you can jag the free shipping to your location. I've not fired up mine yet but the reviews are almost universally praising of this soundbar.

    Nice find OP.
    On the Samsung education store (for those that can access it) this set is $1,274.15 (more expensive) and the HW-Q930C is $809.10 (seems like a decent price).

    To take advantage of all the speakers, does it only work on Atmos encoded source?
    Or can it utilise its 11.1.4 speakers using FTA TV sound input?

    Been using 990b (2022 model) and ohh my lord. The sound quality is AMAZING!

    However I have had issues with MCB in my 990b and that part is hard to get. Samsung doesn’t have 990b in stock so they are replacing it with 990c which apparently has less connection issues as well.
    Can’t wait to receive it in a week or so.

    Yesterday i got JB HiFi to price beat the q930c and got it for $815. Amazing quality, the q990c must be epic

      Yesterday JB were happy to price match at $799. I got a really lovely guy in the chat. I think I am going to hold out though and try and get one of the 990 models. $400 extra, but for something that will be in use for quite a number of years, I think its worth the extra. I was REALLY close at $799 though. Great price.

        Yeah i was originally looking at the 990. But then i remembered how small my media room is (and the room has doors), so the 930 is definitely more than sufficient!

      I thought JB only price match. How did you get them to price beat? Do I just walk in a store and ask them to beat the price showing on my phone? Rather than match the price?

        I am not sure, I actually asked if they would match the price that was available direct from Samsung, with a 15% coupon code, which was $769,15, and he just said he couldn't match that, as it was a voucher code price match, but he could do $799. Which was pretty decent of him.

        I just asked them on live-chat. They can price 'beat', but i imagine it won't be more than a few dollars. I sent them to a link where q930c was $830 and JB gave it to me for $816

    I'll just note that the 930c at the above link is now $798 + Delivery.

    The 990c has gone up to 1280 + Delivery.

    Got $1280 price matched at TGG successfully, with PayPal Pay In 4 for extra $100 StoreCash (gotta play it right, cuz of the short expiry period), pick up at my local joint.

      I got lucky last week….Appliance Central randomly dropped their price down to $1208 for the 990c. So…..(I am quite inexperienced with Ultimate Gift Cards, so I was a bit nervous) but I bought $1200 worth of Ultimate GC's at woolies last week when they had them for 10% off. It took variations of 20 different cards to get to the $1200 total. I walked into JB HI FI in person, they reluctantly (but were ok about it I guess) matched appliance central's price, and then I used the 20 cards to pay for the darn thing. It took a while to pay, but the checkout staff were extremely patient and nice (once I had thanked them and apologized to them a thousand times) and so I ended up with the 990c for $1080.

          990C is so good. Samsung gave it to me as a replacement for old 990B that had so many dropouts.

            @bhunter101: I'm very excited. I was tossing up a AV receiver + speakers but decided it wasn't worth the effort or cost for light entertainment.
