lol - no really lol - now they're sending me emails "have you forgotten something?" in your cart
no - i havent forgotten anything - i just gave up trying to figure out a way of giving you my money after about 35 mins of friggin around trying to buy something…
The conclusion I came to is that it lets you order whatever you like but doesn't notify anyone until your pickup time. The people at the store then cancel it if they don't have the stock available. Nothing gets put aside from you, nothing will get delivered to the store, you have to hope they have it on hand when your ticket pops up.
Yep. Perfect way to annoy your customers.
Customer assumes all items are available when ordered.
Selects collection time.
Drives to pick up.
Advised 3 of 5 items not available at time of pick up.
The trick is to work out what they don't stock at that store, combine it with stuff they do, order all items in one go, and they refund the total discount inclusive of the items you get refunded for!
This is the way. Cost of living is through the roof but I can still afford to get pissed thanks to Coles' hilariously broken online store.
Historically yes, but my last order (yesterday/today) had an item missing, and the non-charged amount was the full purchase price of that bottle (not the usual 20%-less amount). Sadly, they're fixing their process, from the wrong end (for us).
Could maybe order an extra bottle of something and cancel it for refund, upon pickup, but to me that moves from "exploit" to "intention/fraud".
EDIT: maybe as deal finished today?? (hope lives it's still broken if receiving/collecting while promo still runs)
i cant believe its asking me to set an appointment time in order to click and collect??? even days ahead for some locations - clowns
Anything E-commerce or tech related that Coles do is of an extremely poor standard. Visually and user experience.
It's a clown show.
One store I go to, if I go to the store, they tell me to go and ring from the carpark designated Coles pickup area. They don't say anything about this on the SMS/pickup info. And there's no info on where the Coles pickup area is anyways either on the Coles website or the shopping centre website, or in the shopping centre carpark! It's not even in the same area they say to park for Coles! So you have to park somewhere, go to Coles to get directions for the pickup area, go back to your car and pray to God you can find it in the rats maze of a carpark, then ring.
The other store, if I try and ring from the carpark designated Coles area - which is clearly marked and easy to find - there is no answer, and I have to go to the store.
Haha, I just convinced myself I'm not gonna bother ordering. Too much hassle.
Wait until you find out someone is just picking the item from the shelf and only stock is relevant at that moment in time. So by the time your day comes that thing is sold out even though you've paid. lol.
You can set the soonest pick up time then collect it whenever it suits you - they keep the stock on hand for you.
And here I am rushing to coles to be within the 1 hour window like a chump.
Thanks for the heads up.
My store wouldn't let me add liquor, used the live chat and told them exactly what I wanted. When they (eventually) replied I was able to add to cart and process. Even let me use APP10 for $10 off even though my discounted cart was under $100 and I was on browser, not the app.
My first and last click and collect from these clowns saw me commit the most heinous of sins.
I parked forward facing in the click and collect area.
Super Karen emerged and demanded I spin around so she could hand deliver the one small item I purchased directly into the boot of the car. Instead , much to her horror , I got out and received the item directly to hand.
SK was unimpressed.Wow so much hate on this deal, I think its good value.
I do online groceries every now and then. Put an order in last night, added some booze, automatically took 20% off, then I applied the App10 code for another $10 off.
Delivery is coming this afternoon, and it cost me $2 which I don't mind paying for saving 1-2 hours of messing around getting to the shops and back.
They were out of stock on 1 bottle of wine I ordered, the rest of it (beers, other wine, spirits) is all coming.NB: Only annoying thing is you can't nominate to leave unattended if there is booze in the order. But they do give you a 1 hour window when to expect the delivery.
Coles and Flybuys are hopeless in everything they do. They still owe me $300+ in Flybuys points which they refuse to credit, where Coles refers me to Flybuys who refer me back to Coles etc. Also, half the time the online liquor orders get cancelled or you receive a package that has been soaked with alcohol. Don't buy from them.
Sweet - this is my final week of $50 Coles spend sorted for the 10k Flybuys points early next week.
coles.com.au is working at dial-up pace at the moment. If you want a shit experience try paying with flypay then modify your order.
Took me forever to get a beer order through. Horrendous
Yeah the experience is garbage. For starters, the site is really slow and they don't even hold your purchase until pick up time so if it goes out of stock you are only notified 10 minutes before pick up.
Last 3 times I went to pick up alcohol from coles, the main thing I actually wanted was out of stock..
Last time, I just bought ice cream to reach $50 minimum and was only given the ice cream.
Hopeless service by anyone’s standards in 2023.Liquorland has 23% return and the same price for the Gin.
I’m trying to order, but the Coles app
Isn’t working when I go to try and pay. I give up.
I have had order cancelled 5 x in a row when ordering beer on coles online. No reason given - when I call customer support they can't offer a solution. The funds are returned to CC and sometimes they give consolation credit overall, I'd say the service is more miss than hit.
