I hate it when my wallet plays hide and seek.

    • +3

My money plays hide and seek!

      • +1

        But is it easily found?

        • +1

          It’s always gone!

          • @Thrifty Dan: I'm sure if you adjust your seeking approach you will be able to locate it:)

  • +1

I don’t see the appeal. What’s the use case? On the off chance you are getting mugged and instead of the mugger saying give me your wallet they say show me your money in your wallet, see it’s empty so move onto the next victim.

At first I thought it must have have nfc blockers but nope purely just hidden slots.

I’m mostly cashless these days so if I was mugged, they’d make more of a profit stealing the $100 wallet instead of the money inside it.

      • Exactly, most people are cashless so they would take the whole wallet and use payWave on your credit / debit cards. You’re better off having a dummy wallet if you were that concerned.

        • Or a wallet with something really nasty inside, put an end to their shenanigans.

          *Just don't forget it's there!

It holds craploads of cards (which i need) and is super thin when full. Thats the appeal to me.

I have 12 cards in this and it's 2cm thick. They wedge into the join and are very secure although it'll permanently stretch it slightly so if you go down to only a few cards on occasion they'll be loose (IE. Buy a second wallet for party nights out if you don't want to rush taking all your cards). I leave my two most accessed cards in the outer pockets which remain unstretched.

        My partner has the bellroy

        Mine wins hands down

        • I dont like wallets you cant actually open. But it looks good

      • Hmmm I don't know..
Driver license (nsw) on the phone
        Medicare - on medicare app
        Coles/woolies/ on google wallet

Any card with barcode - stocard app

I only carry a small wallet for emergency cash and public transport card

    • I had an old standard leather wallet from Myer or something, when I moved everything into my Bellroy wallet (the now discontinued "Low") it was as thick as the now empty wallet.

    • Have you ever thought about having a cheap $2 op-shop burner wallet in your other pocket, and just give the mugger that? Maybe you can also leave a friendly message in it like a fortune cookie "your life choices will be questioned as you unfold this bifold"

I bought one of these 4 months ago (not from here) . Never really bought a pricey wallet before this one but I can vouch for its durability (so far) and storage capacity. I have so many cards (prob 12 or so) in it and it feels like i have 2. It gets bashed around a fair bit and as of yet no damage so its holding up well. I like it

I have had a couple of Bellroy wallets now (and a laptop bag and phone case) and all really decent quality.

    • Does the wallet have a compartment for coins?

      • +1

Its not really a coin holding wallet. There is a slot that is unzipped.

They do say in the video that the slot is for coins but I can't see the point.

From what i saw they do have others with a coin pocket thing. Look at the actual bellroy site for clearance ones and you can save money too.

I can't see why you couldn't use the secret folded lip section (used to hide notes) for coins, it should hold just fine with the walled closed.

  • I have the larger version, it's a nice wallet which can hold many cards.

Damn that ranger green looks nice

    • +1

Great for matching a Watchnerd certified green dial watch ;)

      • +1

haha yesssssss that was exactly what i was thinking

  • Is that the lo version or hi?

    • +1

This would be the LO (HI is for bills over 7.4cm)

      • Thanks

  • Has anyone found a good price for the Java colour?

  • $100 wallet with $0 inside or $10 wallet with $90 inside?

  • Don’t buy a wallet with metal decals on it. Your fingernails will thank you for it.

  • I brought one of these wallets 9 years ago (it was only $80 then, boo to inflation) and it's still in great condition today. When / if it finally falls apart I'll be buying another.
