      June 16th 8pm or 11pm for $25 per person!

      • +1

Should probably put this in the main post with a location tag also.

        • +8

Yep sorry, new to ozbargain, much apologies

  • +1

Ohh I would love to try this!

Am I able to bring a friend along if I sign up? Or should I just get them to also sign up on their own?

    • We now have an eventbrite page for it (linked in the post). You can buy tickets for them as well as yourself!

      • Booked tickets for a 10pm session. What are the chances of some items being sold out?

        • +1

Hi Rocky, we'll have a special buffet menu, and everything is ordered from the table. It isn't bain-marie stuff that will run out as people snatch them, it'll be made to order. So to answer your question, very unlikely that anything will be sold out.

    Address?

    Are drinks included?

    • +12

You cheap skate…$25 all you can eat AND you want drinks too LoL

It says all you can EAT.

Some people on this forum are just next level…LoLz

      • +1

One of the stalls is a bubble tea seller, so…. maybe drinks are included!

        • +2

Unfortunately, we will not be including drinks in the buffet. Drinks will be at your own expense!

          • -2

@gardenstate: can you bring your own water?

            • @franco cozzo: You won't need to, tap water is provided FOC (as in any standard food establishment). We do however have a no outside food/drinks policy!

      • Well they mentioned something about bubble tea as being one of their stalls…

    • +1

      Yea free tap water

Looks like a reasonable deal, but surely if you had "overwhelming demand", you wouldn't have any tickets to flog here at all.

There's a lilne between marketing and straight out BS. Just stick with the facts eh?

    • Oh what fun you must be at parties.

    • have you seen the cost of groceries lately?
you could get a weeks worth of calories in one sitting!!

  • All you can eat is a bizarre concept when you really think about it. How bloody disgusting. Good deal though.

I can just imagine walking out of there with a deep feeling of regret and desperate need of a nap.

Really tempting offer, I have to be at YMML at 12am for a flight, will I be able to eat this, get a taxi and not miss my flight?

  • so in the middle of an industrial estate in mulgrave?
awesome views of springvale rd traffic as well?
    …count me in!!!

    • +5

dude, my old place is literally 5 mins walk to this place, the estate is not too bad compared to the rubbish dump i'm currently living in….. it's 2 minutes drive from here but it's considered as Clayton and is at least 5x more filthy… workshops, factories, etc…

they should have opened it next to Prinny Highway, cheap buffet every friday night and we can watch P platers cruise laps in their clapped Golf GTI and Commodores whilst being chased by Hway Patrol!

      • +1

        this guy south-eastern suburbs….
& funny thing it hasnt changed in 30 years!

  • Hi, is it free for kids under 5 yrs old?

    • +3

same question, asking this for my 178cm 5 yo.

    • I hope so, just booked the last session ticket for myself, but will be bringing my 4yo.

      • To be honest, we've just opened and our regular offering isn't All You Can Eat, so we didn't consider kids prices. We've since updated our terms as follows:

"Children under 2yo may come along for free (please email us if you're intending to bring your baby so we can make sure a high chair is available for you).

Unfortunately, as we have limited sitting space, children above 2yo will be charged at the same rate of $25pp. To be upfront, this probably will not make financial sense for you, so if you're intending to bring kids, best to take advantage of our other Opening Specials (From 19/6 - 22/6 and 25/6 - 30/6, excluding the All You Can Eat dates, we have 15% discount off the entire ala-carte menu, as well as Free Small Premium Milk Tea with any food purchase if you share on social media/leave a google review)."

That being said, @Wolfy since you booked before we updated our terms, we will be making an exception for you, so you can bring your 4 yo! Can you please PM/email us your email address so we can make a note on your booking?

We'll also definitely take into account for future events, to have a discounted price for kids under 5 yo!

        • @gardenstate thank you for the offer, however it seems your account here does not allow messages.

I did send an email to your info@ email on Sunday, which I hope you can find easily.
My 4oy will eat much, but in regard to the updated terms, I'm equally happy with a refund for the ticket price.

  • Just remember to skip any non-delicious fillers and concentrate on the good stuff (if there is any at that place)

    • always start with seafood, followed by red meat, then white meat then veggies. No carbs.

      • +1

This looks like food truck finger food. Probably designed so you have to wait.

        • Our "usual offering" after this grand opening will not be buffets, it will all be ala carte. the purpose of this all-you-can-eat is to celebrate our grand opening, but also to allow people to try the variety we have to offer (over multiple cuisines)! So if people like it, then they can come back for supper some other time, knowing that we are able to cater to multiple different cravings!

We've also capped the session numbers at 30 people per 1.5h session, so that it will be manageable for the kitchen and that we can make sure everyone gets sufficient attention and food doesn't take too long to arrive!

  • link not working

    • Hi there, I just checked and the link is definitely working :)

You take out of GST in Australia?Thats too funny but it is illegal to advertise prices without including GST, according to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC)

    • +4

Hi there, we certainly don't advertise prices without including GST. If we were doing that, then you'd expect to see a final $ amount charged of $25 + $2.50 = $27.50.

In full transparency, the price charged on Eventbrite is $27.78.
Garden State Cafe's Fee (for the buffet session): $25 (GST is included, and we will have to pay the relevant GST portion from this to the ATO)
      Eventbrite's Service Fee: (5.35% + $1.19 per ticket) * 1.1 (to allow for GST). In this case, (5.35% * $25 + $1.19) * 1.1 = $2.78
      Total Fee: $25 + $2.78 = $27.78

      Hope this clarifies things.

    • Lol, you really are not that bright…

    of interest/relevance…

  • Is kids half price?

    • "Children under 2yo may come along for free (please email us if you're intending to bring your baby so we can make sure a high chair is available for you).

Unfortunately, as we have limited sitting space, children above 2yo will be charged at the same rate of $25pp."

  • Would really like to get 2 tickets for me and my friend, but seems like we are out of luck…

Don't worry, due to overwhelming demand we are sold out for this two weeks, but if reception is good, and people are keen for it to continue, we might do a periodic/monthly session, as a bit of a taster/marketing campaign for the food we serve! Keep an eye out for future events.

Meanwhile, you can still take advantage of our other Grand Opening Specials. Up until 30/6, enjoy 15% discount off everything in store (use voucher code OPEN23 - must order via QR code in store). Also, get a free Small Premium Milk Tea with any food purchase, in return for a Social Media Share / Google Review!
