Noticed a few of these 45w GaN chargers for $25 at my local Aldi. Are these worth a shot, or will they burn the whole joint down, Heymix style?

The one and only "Aldi Special" I've spent and wasted money on was a 6 port 'workshop' power bar. One of the sockets has the contacts recessed so much that it won't hold a plug.
Aldi Special rubbish appears to be randomly sourced Alibaba crap- someone found their office chair here the other week ($99) which was right off an Alibaba page.
So… how reliable a small high power GaN charger would be is a total wild guess with no reassurances. It's going to be sourced by a buying agent who's probably never been to the factory and just found it in a catalogue on somewhere.
they have a 60 day return policy if you are not satisfied
But no "house burn down" guarantee.
ALDI had plenty of recalls on electrical products in the past.
I find Aldi stuff to be pretty good quality, I would try it personally, and I am someone who would avoid heymix with a huge kilometre long stick
I've got a big multi battery recharger i got from Aldi years ago for a steal and it's great. They are super easy to return to and as others have said generally the stuff is okay quality. There is some junk now and then too but it's definitely worth a try.
I've been using the Heymix 45W GaN as a mini travel-charger for laptop and phone. So far so good.
I bought it. Used it. No fires yet!
