Been trying to get a fuel lock but i've noticed that for the past few days petrolbargain website is under maintenance.
Does anyone know what happened to the website? I've been using it for almost 2 years and I don't think I've seen the site being taken offline for so many days in a row.
And you saved perhaps $2?
I was going into town and took a small detour.
Station recently got sold. QLD govt threatenes operators with very huge fines but enforcement is only ever done on small operators.
Large firms seem to blame new staff just like Gerry when you aks for a warranty on a product with a manufacturing fault. Here we have practically no petrol competition.
Nowadays the cheapest operator has an outdated self pay system: You need a physical card, maximum card authorisation of $100 gives you max $90 worth of fuel. It will eventually adjust after 4 days but what a menance! Same on Cairns Airport parking: NO tap and pay or you wait 15 minutes and that after the owners had racked up 100's of millions of profit!
wdym too many of them? i'm referring to the Petrolbargain site in particular.
also i don't think that's within jurisdiction of the police, they will just ask you to settle with consumer authorities in your state but it's entirely a civil affair.
In QLD they have different rules, Office of fair trading to enforce and they seem to take bribes from lovely Gerry?
I'd love to know which way the cops would have told you to (profanity) off and stop wasting their time.

Rocked up on a Sunday to what they claim to be the cheapest station.
They wanted 4c more per litre. Cashier would not bounce till I rang the police.
One hour of wait and I got my price! Phew!
