  • Do these data too or just power? Can I use them to connect a laptop to usb-c monitor?

    • +2

They transfer data but only up to 480Mbps (USB 2)

  • I’ve had about 6 different types of baseus cables and they tend to fail after a year or so.

They are good when they work but don’t expect them to last long

    • Any brands you’d recommend, even if a little more pricey?

      • +3

UGREEN I can recommend as I've had their USB C cables for 2+ years now.

      • The SITTBRUNN USB-C cable from IKEA is actually pretty nice imo, the cable they used is the nice silicone type, and it's only $4.5 (USB-A to C and MicroUSB cables are even cheaper). Regarding quality, ymmv since the reviews are mixed, but if you happen to have a store nearby, you can just walk in and have it replaced. Unfortunately this is only 1m in length which might be too short for some people, the 1.5m LILLHULT is $12.

I've been using their cables for 3 years and haven't had a single fail, including the one that bakes in the sun on my car dashboard in direct sunlight for the last 3 years. It's the only brand I buy.

      • +2

Same. I find them to be pretty well made, in a whole 'nother league to the cheap cables that I used to see a lot of years ago.

        • +1

Same, Same, none of my Baseus cables have ever failed. In my humble opinion they are well made and reliable.
But no cables are indestructable, some reasonable care does need to occur.

    • What's Fasgear and UGREEN like? I seem them coming up on Amazon searches…

      • +1

        UGREEN are my go to

    • I’ve had similar issues with a range of their cables failing after some time. The longer digital cables seem to be the worst

  • Thanks OP. Just bought a new PPS charger for my car and needed another long cable.

  • Ordered from these guys nearly 2 weeks ago and am yet to receive my cable… said it would come 2 days ago at latest :(

    • Have your cables arrived yet? I'm a couple of days after expected delivery date now too.

      • +1

I ended up reporting a problem saying it hasn't come yet but requesting it to still come, and for some reason they ended up refunding me whilst delivering the package some days later. Win I suppose for waiting longer lol

        • Might have to give it a few days and then request the refund. The UGreen cables on Amazon cables are a little bit more expensive but at least the shipping is prompt.

          • +1

@daanish: Yeah I ended up going with them, at least they were more reliable. But to be fair I'll take the extra wait time for a free cable any day!

  • My son wants a longer cable for his ipad pro. Should I get the 60w one?

Or is there a better cable that I should buy?

    • +1

For the price difference I'd just buy the 100W cables. Who knows what devices you might want to use them with down the line.

  • Any cables available with this charging power plus USB3 speeds?

  • Are there any 3m cables?
