"So you're in University? Well, that's not really school is it. Sure you're probably poor as piss, eating worse than an actual school child because you're living off of Ramen and stale beer, but you're older and could potentially have more money to spend, so you'll have to buy an Adult ticket. I know, I know, you're treated better by both public transport and movie cinemas (movie cinemas!) but we're THE Royal Show."

I don't get your point? Its an entertainment venue, not a requirement for living. Go spend your money on beer and girls.

They specifically exclude university students from buying student tickets. I guess they aren't student enough. Maybe if they studented more, they'd be getting the discounted entry rate.

Maybe they just aren't wanted there seeing as this decade it's cool to look down on anyone who attends university as garbage.

Note: I graduated university long ago. I don't care what they do. I only find the arbitrary limit for a failing venue that is actually beaten in customer service by public transport and failing movie cinemas… hilariously ironic.

        • Agree. When I was a uni student it was the poorest time of my life. Pretty rough that they don't get a discount, although I guess these days the trend is for students to stay living at home longer, so they seem to have more money than I remember.

As above, I guess it doesn't matter now because now that I'm a full-time worker, $21.50 to see some animals and wander around the pavillion looking at displays seems reasonable to me :P BUT WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE STUDENTS?!!

$53.50 for family or $21.50 for ONE adult is "discounted"?

wow, perth show must be absolutely awesome at those prices.
    (or a ripoff)

      what isn't a ripoff in perth? :p

The royal show was a well-known rip-off decades before the mining boom.
