  • How is this compared to the recent 32" deal apart from the USB C?

    • +2

IIRC, the UltraSharp line is focused on usage for colour work. Not really sure what that translates to (presumably better DCI-P3 coverage and factory calibration).

    • +1

      60hz vs 144hz

This is also 16:9, other one is 16:10

    • 2nd hand Phillips 4k 32'' $174 including delivery gang RISE

Are you talking about this one?

  • +1

The U3223QE has a true USB-C hub built in. So connect your peripherals, ethernet etc to the monitor, then just one cable to your computer, which also delivers power. I have two U3223QEs in my home video editing suite, driven by an M1 MacBook Pro. Love 'em, better than the monitors in my office suite.

    • Still only an USB-C hub, no display port output to daisy chain another monitor, right?

      • +2

It does have exactly that. I tested the daisy chain when I first got the two monitors and it seemed to work fine, but I don't run it that way now, as I have a true Thunderbolt 4 hub because of some other video gear I use.

      • +1

Uh, yes it does. Display port out. Only for windows though as macs don’t support MST. Would need to be thunderbolt for macs.

        • That's a good point, back when I tested the daisy chain function I did it with an Intel Mac Pro, worked perfectly to extend desktop in both monitors.

Now running a M1 MacBook Pro so the daisy chain would probably only mirror, not extend the first monitor. Thanks for clarifying that.

      • Yeah can daisy chain. Dell

Expand your productivity: Experience uncompromised picture quality by daisy chaining two 4K monitors. U2723QE is the world’s first 27" 4K monitor which allows daisy chaining of an additional 4K monitor at full resolution via USB-C—enabled by Display Stream Compression (DSC).

      • Thanks all.

  • I have the 27 inch version and am very happy with it. Got my uni student daughter to buy it so I could get student discount but it was still $720 as I recall, so this is a good price. dell has it currently for $826, original RRP was $920.
It is a very good 4K productivity display, factory tested and colour calibrated with a quite expansive dock and 100W power/data delivery to the laptop via USB-C(DisplayPort). Built in KVM to swap between Mac and Windows on the fly.
Gamers won’t like the 60Hz though.

Title error, $310 is a little cheap for a 7900.

  • I once had this Ultrasharp monitor, when the warranty ended it started having red corners. Dell refused to repair or replace it. Never again.

If you want color critical work, goto BenQ SW271 or SW270c Photographer's monitor

    • That's odd. I've had Ultrasharp monitor that had its warranty expired. They replaced it with a refurb with a fee.

  • Any idea if I can still claim the Diablo IV promo on the graphics cards from this site?

    • Contacted them confirmed you still get the game.
