The only issue is, how to connect a subwoofer

    • The a100 have sub out.

The s3000 apparently go down to 38hz so don’t really need a sub imo. I use speakers with 6.5” drivers that go to ~45kz for music and tv and don’t feel any need to use a sub. Ymmv of course.

The S2000 themselves didnt feel the need for sub, even tho a sub would have added very little to it. The 3000 probrbaly wont need at all.

    • There is a way to do it with the S3000 from what i have seen. However, you would need to buy a powered subwoofer.

    • Can use a DAC or Preamp with Sub out if you want to use Optical/HDMI (Digital Signal) otherwise can use RCA's that have a piggyback.

Some subwoofers also have a pass through, so its not a big deal tbh, just depends what you're trying to achieve.

      • I am using Gustard x16 to have a sub, but it's not an easy integration. XLRs to S3000Pros and RCA to the sub. Then you have to dial in the sub to pick up the bass from 38Hz

    those airpulsers are a bargain

Bargain history shows that the S300 Pro come on sale regularly, often for cheaper.

if you check the dates, you'll see that the prices have come up a little (s3000 pro). i managed to get a set for $559. looking for another set and it's never been that low since 2020

  • edifier refuses to help when my speakers broke down just after a year

i wanted to know, which speakers and what happened?

So what do they and you do, given consumer rights oblige them to fix or replace it?

      • the problem is to enforce it you need to go to VCAT which costs about ?$70 for a $150 item. It's just not worth it and they know that.

    • I had the same experience with them.
R1280DB so not a lot of money.
About 2 months out of warranty.

    • Same with me S3000PRo, they do not back their premium products. Pathetic compamy

Curious why you upvoted the deal then?

        • The issue I faced with Edifier was not resolved. There was a cosmetic defect with mine out of the box (one 6.5" driver was black, and the other was white). They explain that it could be humidity damage. So I decided to wait until the driver breaks and then ship the active left speaker back for driver replacement at my own expense. They also reduced to sell me a replacement driver so I could replace it myself. Every company sells replacement drivers. Edifier doesn't sell replacement drivers; it is not their policy.

    • I think these are like consumer grade speakers like logitechs, creative etc. If they go bad after warranty no spare would be allocated. I dont think they even have proper grade service centers to do it. For lower end morels, even if they did and if you ship the speakers to them and they ship it back, the amount of money you spend on shipping both ways would probably buy you a new pair of speakers not even considering the repair charges.

But its a bummer if they dont do it for the higher end models.

      • Pretty simple internals, any decent DYI or sparky could fix or replace parts if required. The whole premise of these is the incredible value, so it's up to the user to take the risk. Do you buy products of quality and performance with less support for a lower price, or not.

  • I don't suppose i can integrate these into my surround setup?

    • Depends what your setup is. Probably not though.

You’d need an AVR with pre-outs, but if you’ve got that you probably have better speakers than this already or would be better off buying passive.

      • Yep already have an AVR. Just want to replace my standing speakers to something less obtrusive.

    • These have built in sub. Dont you need mid rangers for surround?

    Looks like Amazon are price matching;

  • A100 back to $1359 :(

    • I read they have a pretty flat response and not many would like them.
