Better than Samsung A8 for $260?
The Lenovo is slightly better for now because slightly better screen, more storage and it's cheaper.
But i'd expect the Samsung to get updates for longer if that matters to you.
I've owned a few Lenovo tablets, this range of 10inch and the previous and I just bought the A8 from JB to replace one of my kids Tab 10s I won't buy another Lenovo tab.
The biggest problem with the Lenovo tablets is that Lenovo abandons updating them way to soon and you end up stuck on older Android versions which becomes and issue as apps update and they just stop working.
Also the build quality on the last two generations has been shit, I regularly do simple repairs on electronics so I've taken apart alot of phones and tablets and the Lenovo M are built like shit. Charging ports fail all the time, the plastics are thin they're just not great.
The Lenovo will do fine as a tab for a year or two but honestly I won't buy another one.

This tablet is getting Android 13. So won't expect much longevity.

Absolutely not, I got the M10 3rd gen (not even the Plus version, so lower specs), and it's been running flawlessly for xbox cloud games which run smoother than on my PC. Or are you doing the ole OzBargain switcheroo where you complain Toyota isn't as good as Lamborghini, but forget to factor in the relative price?
Maybe he got the free 2GB version like me.
