Ryobi 1400W 1450PSI Pressure Washer $69 + Delivery ($0 C&C/in-store) @ Bunnings

1760

Seems like a great deal. This used to sell for $130 and gradually the price was dropping. Most probably a reduced to clear/ discontinued item.

Features
✓1400W motor delivers a maximum 1450PSI
✓Quick-connect fittings
✓Replacement O-rings included
✓5m pressure hose
✓trigger gun, variable pressure lance, turbo lance, straight brush, soap bottle
The RACPWS1 RYOBI 1400W 1450PSI Pressure Washer is a versatile cleaning tool for vehicles.

Blast away dirt from off-road motorcycles, 4WDs and cars. It’s also an effective tool for rinsing saltwater off your water vehicles, including fishing boats and kayaks.

Quick connect fittings make it simple to attach your hose. Attach the variable pressure lance to adjust spraying width and pressure or switch to the turbo lance for jobs that require max pressure. Use the straight brush for any cleaning jobs that require scrubbing. Attach the soap bottle whenever you need to apply a cleaning solution to surfaces.

When you’re done cleaning, use the on-tool hose storage and cable hook to pack this unit away neatly.

Can the petrol one be used inside for bathroom tiles?

      • +1

i was thinking car, patio, weatherboards….but using it for the shower. genius. i think you have sold me. stuff getting on my knees and using a scrubbing brush.

  • The accessories alone are worth the money.

  • Thanks, got one.

  • Thank you, been waiting to get one. So got one :)

  • I have one of these. The pushing handle on the gun is the most anti human design i have ever seen and experienced on early. you end up with a sore hand in 5 sec. maybe i got an different hand than others.

  • We went from Karcher K2 (died of old age) to this and the inlet filter is a PIA, (hope they have rectified it) the fittings are also a crappy design.
I converted the outlet fitting to take my Karchers hoses guns etc.Now it's best features are the Karcher parts. Nowhere near as grunty as the old Karcher, and has developed a whirring noise (due to dodgy filter I presume). It has only be used 3 or 4 times on lightweight work.
If it dies, I hope it's in the ramped up 6 year warranty period.

    • If you don’t mind me asking what did you get to convert to take the karcher accessories. I’m in a similar boat

I got a screw on brass fitting from a site called pressure cleaner supplies or something like that.

Quite sure it was this one? Don't have the details any more or it would take hours to find
        https://www.pressurewasherparts.com.au/hose_fittings

There's a other place called detailers shed that might have it.
        (Not affiliated with either .)

        • Thanks I’ll check it out!

          • @addas: From memory I contacted the guy, and told him what I wanted to do, and he pointed me to it.Really helpful

            • @Protractor: Tried that via email along with some photos of both hoses and was told it isn’t possible

Don’t suppose you’d be able to take a photo of the item at all?

              • @addas: My solution may not suit your mission.
What I added was the brass coupling directly to the Ryobi outlet.(bottom LHS side front corner) It is a female thread that ends in male thread that suits Karcher.
. The Karcher OEM hose end screws to that brass coupling. ( Coupling may even be both BSP threads?) I didn't use couplings from maker to maker hoses and not sure / not interested in if that's even possible or desirable. I don't even use the Ryobi hoses on the washer at this time. If I need to I just remove brass coupling to revert to OEM Ryobi.

                • @Protractor: You must have an older model of the karcher then as mine has this type of connection very similar to the ryobi

                  https://www.totaltools.com.au/122134-karcher-k2-k7-12m-high-…

                  • @addas: My dead Karcher = K2.36
The hose off that is std Karcher AFAIK. That hose end screws directly onto the brass fitting I bought. It solved the issue. ie using the Karcher hoses on a Ryobi PC.
If you can't solve your problem my way,and are really keen you could spend $$$ by contacting a hose specialist like Hose Dr, Enzed etc. Not sure there is value for money going down that road

                    • @Protractor: Thanks. Definitely a different type of connection you have and makes more sense now!

I’ve already picked up the ryobi given how cheap it was. Will be cheaper for me to add accessories (snow cannon/floor cleaner) later on if needed. Was ist trying to repurpose what I have before throwing it out :)

  • Looks like this is the new price as per Ryobi website
    https://www.ryobi.com.au/products/details/1400w-1450psi-pres…

    • That's because if you click where to buy only Bunnings it's listed as Authorized seller

    • If it is a discounted price, it would mostly come from Ryobi. Any idea about the original price before on the Ryobi website?

  • Thanks OP. Got one. Tried it in the garden. Did a decent job. The 2000 PSI from Ryobi in the past got sold for around $99 and it would have been a better purchase.

  • When it comes to PSI on these units, I think you can take the claims with a pinch of salt. Much like the 'watts'claimed on car stereos, amps, home hi-fi etc. More a case of wishful thinking than accurate or comparable data.
But if it does what you need - or close- all good.
(If anyone has done or can do a real life PSI test I'd be keen to see the results. Or a link)

Just going to pipe in with what I say to my kids:

Anything you bought ten years ago will be ahead in quality of anything you buy today (adjusting for inflation). You only have to look around to see this is true in basically everything. Even some older shelves from Kmart/Ikea/Bunnings, ten years ago are simply rock solid to the balsa-wood junk in there now. That's why when people say their item (name/model) from 8-10 years ago was great, so this will be, too. Don't count on it now.

  • I got one yesterday, tested it and now I am on my way to return it. I can't believe how noisy it is. I can't do this to my ear or to my neighbors.

  • Great price indeed!
All the ones on eBay (same model number) are $99-$140
I will get it from my local store tomorrow
    Thanks for sharing!

  • how so cheap! ?

    i bought a bosch green 2k PSI for ~~$500

  • Bought one, not bad at all, great for washing cars!

    • Doesn't high pressure affect the cars' pain in the long run?

      • +1

Don’t most automatic car wash companies use some sort of high water pressure to clean/rinse?
This isn’t too powerful and I use it 1-2 metres away from the paint

  • Thanks for posting. I had been procrastinating about k5, k7, gernis etc. This is all I needed to replace the leaking k2 (wish accessories were universal)

  • Can this clean drive ways?

    • You’ll struggle, not powerful enough

    • I reckon so. My footpath and concrete stairs are now whitish. I also used this pressure washer to clean my bicycle chain, gears and cogs.

The electricity bill is going to be a bit high because I did spend two or three hours cleaning my stairs and footpath.

  • really wanted to get the Ozito 2000W 2320PSI High Pressure Washer HPW-2320K, but seems impossible any time soon… might just have to settle for this

  • My new super soaker

  • would the Ozito 1800W 2030PSI High Pressure Washer for 30 bucks more be worth? its got a slightly higher psi

  • used all brands,Gerni by far more comfortable. the trigger design of Roybi is done by a six years old

  • +2

For cleaning a car 5m hose is too short, you’ll end up having to move the unit around as you’re washing which can be annoying.

  • Thanks OP! Bought 10

  • How does this compare to Costco's one?

  • Will pick one of these up if I see them in stock at my local bunnings, I'm over washing the car with a sponge and bucket of soapy water.
