Yes you are right, it redirected me to the normal store before. I had to revalidate my student email account. It is $100 trade in which is still decent. But I got my S23 50%. :)

The S23 Ultra 512GB version was $1574.30 just a couple days ago before the 30% off deal expired.
I think the best play is to wait for an EOFY daily sale on S23 on the standard Samsung site. They have higher trade value ($200 vs $100 bonus), still have the bonus watch, and you can stack other discount codes.

They had a bunch of codes that stacked, including a trade in. I "traded in" my old phone which was a Note 10 with a busted screen worth $1, but still qualified for their $450 trade in bonus..

is there any other phone you can try trade-in.? generally Jb Hifi has same deals like samsung and they have trade-in website that can give u idea of value. or an apple device that uses website instead of app.
Thanks I ended up doing it on website after all, but after a lot of wrangling with Samsung chat, one guy told me I would get just $1 trade in but get the $100 bonus, then when I went to confirm the trade up, by saying there was a crack in screen I got $0 trade in so no bonus, but the next rep just couldn't help me out and pretty much said I had never been told about the $1 trade in and he would have to refer it to another person which would take 7-10 days for a reply!!!
Ended up trading up an S9, but I probably wont send it in, always good as a back up phone!!
Still I got the $100 trade in bonus, and the free watch and the Edu store discount so I guess I am winning!
