Can combine it with the $5 deal from cashback. Seems a good price for a cheap drone,
comes with 2 batteries they claim 26 mins for battery
They also say beginners need a cheapie drone for first few times to learn and CRASH, so they dont crash the more expensive ones.
This one has plenty of positive reviews on Amazon and on Youtube too

  • This one from Kmart is surprisingly well built, resilient and forgiving to fly.
Importantly, it's a great model for kids to learn the fine motor skills and self control required to use a more elaborate setup.

    • That's okay too But

No camera, AND i Doubt its as small as the holy stone one (which can fit it one's palms easily)

I’m looking fir something to have a good look at my roof. What are people’s opinions on this?

    • It looks like the Holy Stone HS430 drone could work in a pinch, depending on how closely you need to inspect your roof, but the camera is fixed with a straight ahead orientation.

If you need to do anything more than a cursory inspection, I’d recommend something with a decent camera which can at least be pitched to angle the camera down. Most of the smaller DJI drones would work, even a Spark thanks to the pitch angle control on the gimbal and decent camera. They can sometimes be found for around $250-300 on Facebook Marketplace.

Pay someone $20 on one of the Facebook drone groups to take a proper video / photos of your roof.
Cheap drones like this are nothing but headache

OP please do not buy this … If it is for kids just buy a non camera drone for half the price..eachine e010 or e017 or similiar ..heaps around.. flying a drone is not easy for first timers even for adults..more so inside a house ..the FPV is just a marketing gimmick..for toy drones that is .. terrible cameras, beginers can barely fly, forget about flying and looking at the phone.. FPV is advanced flying with goggles, most toy drones get smashed the first day of use

    • I agree with this. I wouldn't waste money on this landfill, these are very hard to fly even on a normal day with light breeze.

For everyone who is not into drones.. looking at getting great pics and videos, go for one of the DJI products, anyone looking at FPV indoors..look up some whoop videos on youtube and start off with an inexpensive brushed motor drone , looking at flying outdoors.. well do not listen to the pundits and spend on a beginers FPV kit.. buy a brushed motor drone without a camera and try it out…and if it is for kids ..try the eachine 010 from Ali or Banggood or wherever..bottomline is ..if starting out..do not pay for features you do not need..gyro and headless mode is on every drone..do you need GPS, 4k camera and return to home ..basically something that can fly itself ..buy a DJI drone

And to add to this - a cheap but good value starter pathway is a factory refurbished DJI Mini (first gen). They go for around $350 from Kogan/Amazon, and for most intent and purposes is 'new' ie has warranty.

      • If the seller where I ordered the mini 3 pro cannot fulfill the order, I may grab a refurbished mini 1 . However $350 still seems to be quite an expensive toy for a 6 yrs old to learn how to fly a drone.

    • Totally agree, cheap trash like this might be appealing for the "cheap" part, but let's not forget about the "trash" part

  • Price has gone back up to 79; deal has expired, it seems.
