Looks like $179 is still a good price for this keyboard without Perks.
Silent mechanical switches
Ergonomically designed keyboard
Soft, cushioned wrist rest perfectly aligns to the keyboard

To be fair though, I'm still typing away 9 years later on my Razer blackwidow stealth for work and home (wfh)… So not as easy as saying every keychron is great and every other brand and their keyboards are not
I have tried the rest, Keychron is the best fully modular and every part is replaceable. They last for life.
How long have you had your keychron? Assuming you mean only the hot swappable keychrons?
@onlinepred: when I say everything I mean every part the switchs, the shell the circuit board, the pe foam the frame everything is replaceable and servicable on a keycron, not just key caps.
@kungfuman: Well yes, many are also, but you need to take them apart depending which ones. Only the hot swappable ones can you do without soldiering correct? Why did you choose keychron over ducky/daskeyboard/filco?
How many times have you had to replace things on your mechannical keyboards? Also how long have you had the Keychrons to determine they last for life?
I noticed Keychron only have 1 year warranty which is a shame, not really backing their own products right?
I have been trying to find a decent wireless mechanical (with RGB because… I like pretty colours) and a number pad. Havent had much luck in this space. Does Keychron have a model like this? I havent come across one.
Q6 or K5?
K4. 96% of a full keyboard and RGB. Has numpad and one of the reasons why I purchased. Compact nature of keys being close together will need some initial adjustment.
Ooh thanks for the heads up
Similarly, if you can wait a while/prefer the look, get some extras for a recently ran Zoom or QK board or something.
Maybe a bit more expensive but just as customizable and enjoyable to type on. You'll never use a Razer/Logitech keyboard again
I've never tried a Keychron, however I bought a Razer Blackwidow V3 mini (yellow switches) and I absolutely hated it.
After some research (and a recommendation by a fellow ozbargainer) I settled on a Nuphy Air96 which arrived last week. I absolutely love it and will be my keyboard for the foreseeable future (including for work/gaming).
Highly recommend Nuphy Air96 (if anyone reads this and is researching a mechanical keyboard). The downside is only Nuphy stock it at the moment. Some other Nuphy keyboards, for example the Halo series now exist with Australian stockists (Scorptec)
The Nuphy Air96 is a 96% keyboard, and with its reduced gap between keys could mean typos galore for many. Not really comparable to this keyboard.
Rtings also rates this Razer board better than the Nuphy! https://www.rtings.com/keyboard/reviews/best/mechanical
It does take a little while to get use to, but at least in my case it wasn't "typos galore".
Also the Rtings have not yet rated the Nuphy Air96 - only the Air 75.
A comparison on Rtings between the Air75 and the Keychron Q6 (which is listed as number #1 on your link) shows the Air75 winning in 4/5 categories, and the category it lost in was office (7.5 v 7.6).
The Air96 has a numpad (of which the Air75 doesn't), so it's quite possible, that the Air96 will get a better rating - however we won't know until they review it.
Either way, if you are happy with Keychron, then by all means stick to it - I'm simply giving readers another opinion of a good keyboard that I have, which is the Air 96 - which is a more comprehensive version of the Air75 - of which obtained great reviews on Rtings.
EDIT: Side note, you mentioned that the Air96 isn't really comparable to a Keychron, yet you linked the Rtings website which talks about the Air75. I'd argue that the Air96 is more comparable than the Air76, when comparing to a Keychron with 100% size
@eltito: Not comparable to the Razer that this deal is for…
@onlinepred: My apologies, my eyes failed me - you referred to the Razer and for some reason I had the Keychron in my mind.
I'd argue that the Air96 is in the field of being comparable to this Razer, however let's just agree to disagree. As I noted, I got the Nuphy Air96 and been super happy with, another great option (along with Razer) of mechanical keyboards to choose from.
@eltito: I'd get the Nuphy if it wasn't for the smaller gaps and and nearly double the price hey. Looks very very nice though!
The only reason I said the Nuphy wasn't comparable was because the nuphy is not a full sized keyboard, while the Razer is. To compare to the Nuphy you would need a smaller/low key keyboard to compare against, like the Keychron k1 pro, of which I think the Nuphy might be better perhaps.
It’s my grammar that failed us haha.
My first leopold lasted 10 years, replaced it with a varmilo which lasted 2, and now another leopold
My coupon code does not work.
Is it part of the exclusion?
It's not, perk 10% off code works for me on this keyboard.
Picked up this keyboard just the other day and very happy with it. New firmware fixes the main complaint around needing the Razr software installed to toggle the default behaviour of the function keys.
raz OMEGALUL r
just get a keychron keyboard its the only mechinical keyboards thats aren't s$%t
