tip
add 50ml of milk when mixing with the sauce to lighten the burn - like flame-bonara?
They sell the pink version at my local Coles, which is "Carbo"[nara?] version. I prefer it to this one. Wonder if it's on special too…?
Woolies stopped selling the Carbonara version too, not showing on Coles online. Can only find premium price versions online now :(
x2 is eatable but x3 I gave up half way.
Commendable. I gave up half way through 2x.
I think I finished the 2x but only barely. Luckily I only bought 1. The 1x is good though but I didn't have it for a while so now I can't really get through them haha
Beastly. After struggling through a pack of these my lips were as red as the packaging lol
3X is what you use to drive away cats from your garden.
Ring Buster
Ringer Stinger
So would I be safe using only 1/10 of the seasoning then add it in gradually? Or is that too much already?
Depends on how spice tolerant you already are. If you're happy with a 'medium' curry and can get through a 'hot', you can probably work your way up to a full sachet of these. Just have some milk and / or cheese nearby.
Thanks. Happen to find 'reviews' on youtube. This is essentially twice as hot as that one if I'm reading the package correctly. Maybe I'll just stick to the normal noodles…
Edit: the exact same noodle was actually tested at the end of that video.
Damn prices for this is now ridiculous. The regular samyang are some of my favorite instant noodles.
Protip, add some Bok Choy/Chinese cabbage at the end of the cooking. Helps with spreading the heat without outright diluting the sauce
Are they spicier than mi goreng noodles?
just a little
If you find Mi Goreng spicy, do not try these haha
Nah I'm game, just wanted to know if it was worth the pennies
If mi Goreng is spicy to you, this is not eating 100 packs mi Goreng but 100 times spicier stacked. You will need milk from smelling freshly cooked of this
My mouth is watering just thinking about these noodles
I start to sweat thinking of these, also backlash following comments stereotyping certain people not being able to tolerate certain foods is so representative of racism in Australia in 2023.
I hate to ask this but how abt the MSG level, should I be concerned?
If uncle roger is anything to go by, you can never have to much msg.
I thought msg wasn't actually bad for you and it was just a scare campaign
The hate on MSG should be stopped. Salt would do way more damage than MSG would ever be. Look up the scientific papers, MSG is basically harmless.
MSG exists naturally in foods anyway so not a biggie.
Like all instant noodles the salt content is high, so not good to stack heaps
Looks good but don't you guys care about acne? It's funny how I recalled a lesson learnt, when I was in Maccas, the ppl who went in had acne and there was Fishbowl next to it, the ppl who went in had glowing face.
i have to warn you not to eat ice cream after eating this. i made that mistake while eating the 3x.. almost died.. hot water to the rescue..
Can you actually taste the chicken when itās so crazy spicy hot?
How spicy are these for someone who likes medium spicy?
Depends what you mean by medium spicy. If you mean medium spicy at Nandos, then the 1x is probably the Nando's Hot, 2x is well… far worse.
If you mean medium to be KFC Hot and Spicy, try the 1x first, or the pink Carbon[ara] version.
If you don't know anyone who can eat spicier food than you then this is for you. If you do, take it as a challenge so you can beat that person.
i had my partner who thought she was good with spice, havea go at me for not getting the pink one which is one level higher in spice than this one, she is now crying from the spice, so yes its very spicy, (she is white), i (non-white) find this spicy as 6 out of 10.
Pink is comparable to the 1x, the 2x is way worse.
I really love these, also the cartoon of the chicken on the package gives hints as to how hot.
If the final one (12,000SHU) the Chicken is literally crying with fire inside his beak

Disappointed to see my local Coles only had the standard version on spesh.
Tell you what, team, these noodles do not (profanity) around. Wew lad what a purchase.
Firstly I love spicy food (Lately been trying to cut down but hard to resist)
This 2X is sooo good, spicy yet amazing taste.
Hate the 3X it feels like no flavor just plain heat alone.
These 2X and 3X have this starchy/sweet sauce so its sticky - excellent as local anesthesia for the lips!
3x can be used as a pesticide in the garden.
Noodles seem to have inflated more than any other food over the past 2 years. Indomie Mi Goreng used to be 40 cents per packet at Coles, now the greedy capitalists have jacked the price to $1. I wonder how much Indonesians are paying for the same product?
I vote for a 3x eating competition sponsored by Ozbargain. We should have one in each major city.
Have this in the ozb meetup.
Bought these yesterday, girl at check said really spicy. Just ate them, great level of heat, not too hot, medium afterburn in mouth, feels good man.
Time to upgrade to 3x. :)
This one made my rectum sweat. Good deal though.
Don't do it to yourself. Still got a packet in the cupboard from a 5 pack I bought for like $5 from Woolies a few years back.
P.S. It isn't just too spicy for 'white' people
White aussies are pathetic at eating spicy food. Come on lads, up your game.
Im fighting this battle alone.
this 2x is close to inedible for me
the black packs are much more enjoyable ahaha
These will make your morning routine SPICY. I can attest and highly recommend if you are a chilli lover.
