I purchased from them albeit in a bundle with the Switch OLED TOTK Edition, but the game card is not AUS but EUR. So not sure if there is going to be a problem with DLC further down the road.
I don't think we got a local cartridge release for this game. If you buy another copy from somewhere else it'll probably say the same thing on the game cart.
You won't have issues with dlc because that's a PAL region cart just like the AUS game carts.
The only time the region is an issue is if you purchase a game from OS and it comes with a download code, the download code might not be redeemable from the AU eShop. But you can create an account on the relevant eShop and download it from there.
Thats good to know!
Game carts are not region locked.
No issues at all.
Thanks for the information!
This game has ruined my sleep pattern and taken over my life. This is all I do in my spare time.
I was pretty good at getting to bed on time before this game.
Now it's all "just one more shrine… oh now I have 4, better go pray for stamina… oh yeah I was going to find [place from BotW], I'll just do that, won't take long… Oh a cave…" and suddenly it's 3am.
Don’t visit Tarrey Town. There’s a side activity there that’ll absorb your soul.
won't take long… Oh a cave…" and suddenly it's 3am.
I am not sure I still have the patience to play that long.
It flies by in the blink of an eye.
Same - addicted!
I'm just playing through BOTW on Wii U now and that's how I feel. Don't know why I waited so long to play it..
Waiting for the console to drop more before I can get one.
BTW, $78 from Amazon
By the time it drops enough (if ever) this will be running perfectly on Yuzu.
I saw some YouTube seems running quite good now
Waiting for the console to drop more?
It's been out for flipping 6 years WTF man!
Time flies. I actually did the same thing biding my time during this generation of consoles. I was happily still playing on my PS4.
I honestly never expected I would end up buying a Switch (gamesmen TotK bundle) over the PS5 or Xbox…
I've now contributed heavily to the economy by spending hundreds buying games and accessories haha. I haven't played Zelda since Twilight Princess on the Wii, so I've got some catching up to do…
Definitely a lot of catching up to do for Zelda Titles.
I would suggest leaving Botw and Totk out until last as it'll be hard to go back to the older Zelda titles once you get addicted to the newer formula.
@SpeedRunnerLink: Agreed i am playing skyward sword currently and its fine but has nowhere near the same draw Botw did
I managed to get the game last week by price matching with jb hifi. They gave me a offer of $72 then I used birthday perks to take $10 off then afterpay to take another $10 off.. in total I only paid $52 just for the game
Pretty sure I got it for 74 on launch day. Did the price go up?
Yep, it was $74 through JB and I think Amazon at launch, but now it's $78/$79.
It cost more to be patient? What a time to be alive
@khosrua: Nintendo stuff rarely goes on sale
@superroach: Didn't expect the price to go down, didn't expect it to go up this quickly either.
@khosrua: The launch of a new mainline Zelda game: the only time where it's actually not stupid to pre-order.
@ItsMeAgro: Disagree. BOTW has big design problems imho. But few are willing to admit it. I'll bet they carried over to TOTK but I lost so much interest in Zelda after BOTW that I haven't checked
All games are the cheapest on launch day or usually for a week or two. Like an "intro price" then they revert to RRP. This has been happening for years…
Not really. There's so many sub $50 sales on games. Even the big hitter Nintendo ones.
what's the afterpay offer? i used to get $10 perk coupon every month from jb hifi but they don't seem to have that anymore. Is it the case for everyone? In fact, i actually just used that as an excuse to price match and to buy more games. The last one was mother's day $200 spend with $20 off which can't be applied on pre-order and game consoles, which are things that i would want to buy.
They've never had that monthly. On sign-up, birthday and maybe twice more per year.
perhaps it was just the initial thing. i must have gotten 2 x $10 perk + intro sign up coupon within the first few months of signing up. must have included my birthday month, though. haven't gotten any this yr i think. hmm….i guess will just have to wait for the next opportunity. i think it would be a marketing tactic to make ppl to spend if they hand those out more often.
@koala123: Yeah so I didn't receive a sign up $10 perk for JB. I did however manage to get a $10 birthday voucher from signing up to JB perks cause they give you a $10 voucher in your birthday month. I couldn't use this voucher at all when Zelda was in pre order so I just waited.
Target had it for $74 and JB did a price of $72 for me. I used birthday voucher ($72 - $10 = $62) and afterpay had 2 offers - 1 instore only and 1 instore or online (spend $50 or more take $10 off). I activated the online afterpay offer and paid my order with afterpay hence I only paid $52 ($13 x 4 = $52). Didn't get any coins or posters but to me I don't care about those items cause they would just be sitting in the cupboard collecting dust
I don't know how to upload receipts on here
I had to leave the country to stop my every waking thought from being for this game.
That’ll evaporate the second I return.
Can we talk about games being sold at DJs?
No.
Solid experience at any price.
