Changes to Everyday Extra & Delivery Unlimited @ Woolworths

Woolworths are changing the benefits of existing and future subscriptions to Everyday Extra.

As of July 1st

  • Triple points will become double points, and
  • The 10% discount at Woolworths and Big W won’t be available online

Subscriptions are now $70/year instead of $59, monthly subscriptions are still $7.

Woolworths are changing the benefits of existing and future subscriptions to Delivery Unlimited

Increased minimum spend for Woolworths delivery
- The minimum spend threshold will increase from $50 to $75. This means you will get free Same or Next Day delivery on all orders of $75 or more*, and discounted Delivery Now fees on orders of $75 or more.*

Paper and reusable bag fees
- Your Delivery Unlimited subscription will no longer include bag fees for Woolworths Online orders. This means that the fee for paper or reusable bags will be added to Woolworths orders. This will be a fee of $1 per order for reusable bags, or $2 per order for paper bags.

To show our appreciation for your support we will provide 3 months additional free access to your current annual plan as a thank you.

It’s ridiculous that this affects existing subscriptions, and they know this because you can now cancel and be refunded for the remainder of the subscription.

    First world problems 😆

Why not just go to local veggie and butcher shops and ditch supermarkets

  • Hi everyone we have everyday plus for the extra monthly 10% as well as mobile phone plans. Seems like if you go instore 10% still work it? Also wondering if anyone buy "Woolworths Store eGift Card 4% off" through racv and if you can stack them with your 10%?
Cause that seems like a grear way of saving a bit more.

    • Can confirm RACV discounted gift cards stack with 10% discounts

    • I only use gift cards when I do an online shop, stacks no problem.

Cancelled my Woolworths unlimited delivery and every day extra due to all these changes.
Got my first Coles online delivery today.

Cheaper to just pay Coles $2 mid-week delivery.
Some of my groceries especially the dog food worked out cheaper too, so might not have got as many points but saved some dollars.

    https://www.coles.com.au/important-information/terms/mid-wee…

Also don't need to sign up for a stupid plan.

Coles for online and Aldi for in person shopping now.
Might even just put some of the heavy used pantry staples on the recurring Amazon purchases too.

Good by woolies, you offered a good deal and we where exclusive for a while but now you are dead to me.

I don't understand why something like this becomes 'news'. The ABC website has a story on this. Companies are allowed to change their service, especially if it isn't making a profit. And as a consumer you either stay with the new changes or quit. Pretty simple. Shouldn't be a 'news' story.

Is it a new change to the policy? It is. Then it's " 'news' ".

There are wars and homeless issues. This is news. A companies promo change is not.

I only just started using Woollies again recently. Might have to rethink my shopping strategy as I only spend as close as I can to $50 per week.

If Woollies have increased the minimum online order to $75, it would be a safe bet that that Coles won't be far behind in doing the same.

I do have an Aldi close by, but I struggle to do a physical shop due to health. I guess I have a month to ponder on it, lol.

Still $50 for regular online delivery/direct to boot/pick up, just $75 for free delivery under delivery unlimited

  • I'm not surprised they are changing it, the original everyday xtra was very adṿantageous to the customer, and was not going to work commercially well for them if other customers used it the same way as me.

As a serial online shopper this change is a pain. I will probably go to aldi more now.

Really disappointed. Placing a large online order to maximise the 10% was the entire point of going with the Woolworths sim card :(

  • 10% off shopping for being a Woolworths Mobile customer is also changing so that online deliveries and click and collect are excluded.

  • Wouldn't have expected anything less from Woolies, they partnered up with Hollard Insurance, those criminals are all you need to know. Can't believe they're not in jail!

you all should have read the T&Cs….!!! <lol>

  • Going to shop more at the store of Mum and Dad as my dad grows a lot of fresh produce in his vege patch. Just cancelled the EE more on principle than the $29 refund. The program is now shite!

    • My uncle has a hydroponic greenhouse and section of garden beds where he grows tomatoes, carrots, English spinach, capsicums and so on. One day my cousin came home with a bag of carrots and he went on and on about the waste of money spending on produce he’s growing in the backyard.

Then my cousin pointed out the carrots were $1/kg and he worked out even without factoring his time, he couldn’t grow them that cheap aha

      • And your cousin didn't flinch at the thought of what he might be putting in his body?

        • Not with a carrot

          A butternut pumpkin maybe

  • Is there an email/way to request prorata refund of monthly cost? I can only see chatbot (does not have any option) or telephone.

  • I read on a few articles that we're supposed to get a free month because of these changes, is that correct?

I didn't get a free month this month, so was just checking.

  • They seem to not reduced the benefits this month? I think I’m still getting 3x points

    • I’ve been randomly getting triple, 4x, even up to 8x points on various shops without boosters or offers

They just don’t have a clue what they’re doing

      • Maybe they changed their minds, their website still says the same benefits

    • They've updated the Everyday Rewards app this week and if you click on a shop it will break down what promotions your rewards came from

For those of you who've ever done an online shop with Woolies, you may have unused store credits. We've been doing online shopping since the start of the pandemic and received lots of store credits over the past few years for missing/damaged items etc.

I thought we had done a fairly good job of keeping track of these until we contacted Woolies today to ask how we can use the credits (now that we won't be shopping online any more). Shame on us, because had just over $300 worth of credits that we didn't know about! They cancelled the credits and will be sending the equivalent to us as egift cards so that we can spend them in-store (and still get our 10% discount).

If you're in a similar position, I encourage you to contact Woolies ASAP to check if you have any credits and get them re-issued as egift cards. The credits actually have expiry dates (no surprises here) so don't delay. It's not like they go out of their way to remind customers that they have unused credit. Woolies have shown their true colours over the past couple of months by reneging on deals, so if you can claw back a few dollars from the greedy bastards, more power to you!

10% off is now back for online orders from November 1. We can stop the annoying last minute visit to the store each month.

    • Is that for everyday mobile as well? I didn't see anything about it

“By popular demand” AKA “Wow, we pissed you lot off didn’t we”

  • For those that had a pro rata refund, how did they calculate it for you?

They told me that it's not refunded based on number of months left but number of full price deliveries used ie $15 x number of orders.
