    Mmmmmmm corned beef sandwiches mmmm

  • Are these good for a dashcam?

    • I doubt it.
You need a high endurance card from Samsung or Sandisk.

Been using this for the past 2 years, all read/write good from Sydney weather.

  • Cheaper at Samsung

  • Are these good for a GoPro hero 7 recording in either 1080 or 2k?

Bought 2 of these last month and both failed h2testw. Sending them back to Amazon for a refund as they are fake
    . You have been warned.

    • +7

Patriot are faking Patriot microSD cards? More like the cards were faulty.

      • -5

Sold by Patriot Memory AU and Fulfilled by Amazon. Both cards failed. They are fake.

        • +5

So how does Patriot Memory fake their own Patriot Memory cards? Failing the test doesn't automatically mean it's a non-genuine (fake) Patriot Memory card.

          • @Clear: Possibly an Amazon warehouse employee buying fakes, and swapping them for the real ones when they picked some for a delivery?

It does sound unlikely, but not impossible.

Could be a side income stream for the employee, their pay is pretty poor.

            • +6

@Russ: Far more likely that the cards themselves are faulty. As faulty =/= fake.

    • Did you buy them from this seller at Amazon?

      • +1

Sold by Patriot Memory AU and Fulfilled by Amazon.

  • I bought this (the 256GB) myself last month and I'm satisfied with the performance. Granted, the last time I had a MicroSD card was when 8GB Class 4 MicroSDHC was the norm. Write speed was fast enough that I was able to torrent around 230GB (the actual usable space) in a few evenings when I have time to sit down at the computer. Buy this if you just want some cheap and relatively fast storage. Buy the high endurance ones from SanDisk or Samsung for security cams. Buy this for the best performance.
