      Two way charging at 140w

      If its anything like my power bank, it throttles to about 20-45w after 5-10 minutes when discharging anyway. I highly doubt you will see it sustain that rate for very long

        It will give an overheating warning but it does drain to 0% first.

            @Butt Scratcher: The reviewer said he tested it several times, it maintained the full 140W all the way to zero every time.

      Surprisingly, some power banks like this one have Type C ports that can only be used to charge the power bank. That would be "one way".

      and why is this one $178?

      It is very rare for a power bank to be able to do 140W output which some laptops would benefit from. Some people find the LCD screen useful too; it'll show you how much power is remaining in terms of time at the current load, how much power is being drawn by which ports, and how much time till 100% charge when you're recharging it.

      It's definitely not a mass-market device so manufacturing volume would be lower than regular power banks, so the per-unit cost will increase.

        Also perhaps to avoid confusion re: one of the USB-C ports being output only.

        Which IMO is a handy feature, since it helps avoid the occasional issue when using with another device with a USB-C in/out port that does not have its in vs out preference set up in the most useful way.

      It won't run a fridge for very long at all, they're power-hungry devices. This is meant for devices like laptops and phones.

      Yes. I have a camping fridge I run from a power bank (not this power bank).

      This power bank should have no issues being able to run that 50L fridge, if using 20V at 5A.

      You will need a USB-C to accessory socket adapter that can handle 20V and 100W. Or DIY your own using a USB-C trigger, or add to / modify a USB-C to 20V laptop adaptor.

      The Anker power bank can't supply enough current at lower voltages (and does not do 12V) to handle the fridge peak draw at less than 20V.

      However once the compressor is running, these fridges draw more like 30W. So if you add current limiting between the fridge and power bank (to avoid the power bank shutting down for peak draw) then you could run on a lesser power bank too.

      I run a fridge on a 65W power bank. It runs a little fridge fine directly, but needs current limiting to run a larger fridge. Otherwise it shuts down when the compressor starts up.

      If the fridge is already cold before running it from the power bank, and you are not adding too much warm stuff, then one like that $200 Rovin fridge will use about 250Wh a day. Depending how efficient the voltage conversion is in the power bank, you should get perhaps 6 hours run time on this Anker power bank.

      IMO this power bank is not good bang for buck for running a fridge. You could buy two cheaper 20,000 mAh power banks and get 50% more run time for less money. In theory with that Baseus power bank you could also use pass through charging to plug the power bank in via USB-C and still run the fridge, as long as peak power draw was under 65W, or you added current limiting. I have not tried this though.

    That's alot of juice, I don't think I've ever seen a 140w capable type c cable though let alone a 140w gan charger

    Edit: of course anker made a 150w charger that goes with this

      They been around since last year the PD3.1 and the 200W cables. Don't think there's lots of devices to take advantage of it yet which be the issue.

        You don't need a single 140W device to benefit from such a power bank or charger as the output can be split across the ports.

        That means you can e.g. charge both your laptop and your phone at full speed, or even two laptops at the same time.

          Didn't mean that, of course thats what happens with my Baseus 100w GaN charger where I charge my Lenovo tablet at 65w and use the other ports for other devices that charge at 30w or what not

            Since the power can be split across the ports, each device can draw less than the 100W limit of a standard cable so a 140/200W cable is not necessary to take advantage of a power bank like this.
