5-8 Port 2.5GB Switch?

Thinking of going to a 2.5GB switch now that both desktops , router and NAS have 2.5GB ports .
Ideally would like 16 ports and POE for my cameras but I'm too cheap and will just use the old POE unit for the cameras .
TV's run off 100mb so I only really need a 5 port unit but I do want it fanless as it's in a cupboard in the lounge .
Usage is moving movie/game files around the home network . We have FTTP 100mbps connection with 250mbps speed boost days .

Happy to pay up to ~$250 for a unit I can set up and forget for the next 5 years .

  16 ports of 2.5 gig will make it tough for that price point. I will watch with interest.

    I already spent quite a bit of time researching hence why I've narrowed it down to a 5 port 2.5gb switch .
    Not that fussy on which one .
    Now I'm looking for a bargain Kind of the point people come to this website .
    There doesn't seem to of been any posted on Ozbargain lately .

  Either you pay $200 for a dumb 2.5Gbe switch, or get an Aliexpress NUC with 4x 2.5Gbe ports that you can repurpose as a PiHole/router/Plex server etc.

  It's a little bit of a gamble importing it but certainly offers more flexibility for the same price.

  There are lots of 8-port 2.5GbE on AliExpress for less than US$100, like this Horaco unit that comes with 8x 2.5GbE + 1x 10GbE port. Saw the review at Serve The Home and they seem to be fine.
