It's good for STBs without hard disks.
I own 2 of these and I posted the last 2 deals of them.
If you read it properly it says minimum write speed 4mb/s and not maxumum.
Average was around 10mb/s write and 25m read, and they peak higher than that.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if I needed a 3rd.
shinichiduy got owned by ezarc!
USB 2.0 64G Patriot AXLE for $32 from MSY, i guess it's also a good deal then? And more importantly, i don't need to wait…
I bought mine the last time..

Will go well with my pinstripe suit and leather bound books on the rich mahogany.
Careful with the pinstripe suit, it could get you detained in a mental health facility: http://www.ted.com/talks/jon_ronson_strange_answers_to_the_p… :)
Last time there was a $5 off $30 when this was on.
I have one of these. For the price it is amazing but the write speed is almost unbearable. But for the price I can wait those few extra minutes
For the same price this one will blow the Verbatim one out of the water.

For what its worth, I grabbed one last time round and used it once and it stopped showing up in Windows. I also tested it on Win 7,8 and also Mac OSX and it was a dead marine.
I then had to send it back the the UK and they found it was faulty and refunded me. (To their credit they refunded the return postage too) But it has made me gun shy now with reordering it.
haha.. if you read the previous thread you will also see that I had the same problem. It would not format completely and would disappear from the device manager at random times.
To the credit of OGS they were completely understanding and refunded the purchase price with no problems whatsoever. I would definitely use OGS again but would be wary of this particular USB drive.
I got one too last time. It has been working well on both of my laptops - win 7 and win xp (so far … fingers crossed). but last time the delivery took almost 2 months. after 3 weeks of waiting, they sent me an email saying the supply was delayed from their supplier side for 1 month. but they gave the option to cancel the order and get a full refund. i waited and it did arrive before the date they estimated. have always had good experience with ozgameshop, although delivery has always been slow due to royal mail and aus post.
I have one from last deal and only opened it today and it is dead, comp doesn't recognise it and can't see a way into it to make it work - no whiz here. Have put in for a refund or replacement (working) and will update here.
UPDATE : I recently DL's a prog Rainmeter and a skin for ir for BigPond usage and it appears to have played havoc with file associations, with use of two script .exe's. Uninstalled it and all seems well, for now. It needed reformatting to NTSC as well, for more efficient use of space.
OOPS! That was for a Patriot Extreme not the Verbatim.
I was in touch with OZGAME about the ^$G Verbatim and their CS was exemplary. Too costly to send back but so be it.
weird first one I bought useable capacity was 58.9GB, the other one 57.5GB, both freshly formatted and compressed
Filling 64GB with the write speed of just 4MB/s is going to be pathetic. Good for the price, but not the speed.
