be nice for video I think, I don't do any video but might be good for longer vids without having to worry bout running out or switching cards
For cameras that record video in 4K and 8K.
Two of them in a Sony A7RV, +130MB RAW files, 2-4GB/min 8K video. I read off the cards every night to an external SSD on a trip away, but do not format the cards until I get home and backup the files to a NAS. I finish processing the photos and video at home, and export the finished product to more efficient file sizes once all the post processing is done. Only then do I format the cards.
I am very careful, as I have had cards go bad and also SSDs fail in the past. I also try to keep the camera and the SSD in separate places (camera pretty much always on me).
Data that exists in only one place does not exist :-)
How do you find this card for video recording on the A7RV? The price is very good value but some of the high quality formats don't seem to be supported…
Tablet for me. Very cheap way of adding extra storage for a ton of media.
Wouldnt use as primary, but as a 2nd card that you dual write to would be handy, empty the primary card n have these as backups just in case
what do people use a 1TB SD card for ? that is a lot of photos or video for a camera. for laptop backup there are faster usb-c drives with better durability and speed ?
