as per my previous unanswered question from the last time you posted this product

Can you please clarify how you will deal with warranty for this product? It's not listed anywhere in your description.

Transporting a 600x600 single panel/s is pretty costly for the average person assuming its a back to base type warranty and assuming customer is to return goods.

It's suspiciously (?) not listed on your website/ ozbargain post but the Ledvance LDVBLPAN060636W865 (as visible in your ebay listing) correlates with manufacturer part of 4058075330658 - which according to reduction revolution(reductionrevolution.com.au) is a 5 year warranty.

  • I ordered these last time they were on offer and fitted them in my garage. 4 of them transformed the lighting in the garage, nice soft, bright illustration with no shadows. Highly recommended.

    • 144 watts is a lot of power to light up a garage
I hope its a big garage for that sort of power

      • Had 3x14w led bulbs previously and wasn't sufficient. Can't state what a joy it is to work with proper lighting. I do have a 19.5kw solar system so happy to burn the 144w when needed.

        • If being used for a workshop ofcourse you want good lighting :)

Nice system there, AC all day, pool heated all day, lights on all day… .love it :)

      • A one-car garage needs a minimum of 13,200 lumens https://garagetransformed.com/how-many-lumens-for-garage-lig…

Depending on the bulb and the manufacturer, LED technology typically produces 75-110 lumens/watt https://www.voltlighting.com/learn/lumens-to-watts-conversio…

The spec sheet for this panel is reporting 90 lumens per watt. So 144W * 90 lm/W = 12,960 sounds right on the money. If you want to reduce the wattage for working over in the corner, perhaps turn on only one of the four?

Note that if you were using the garage as a workshop, the first source is suggesting 80,000 lumens for a one car garage, but 'How many lumens you need for your garage depends on what you’re planning on doing in your garage, so there’s no “one light fits all” solution.'

      • One tile = one 4-foot fluoro tube.
If the garage is a workshop, not just car storage, …

    • How did you mount these ones? I am thinking of doing the same in our workshop.

I cut my ceiling so they were a tight fit and then by putting small pencil marks on the frame I could work out where the screw holes were in the frame through the ceiling, 4x washers and the correct length screws did the job nearly. They are very light so don't need sturdy anchoring.

  • Color temperature 4000K

I'm not an expert but isn't this the important factor?

So why would you buy these over something like… Arlec 9W Tri Colour Dimmable LED Downlight - $9.95 @ Bunnings
    Lumen : 700lm(3000K) ; 740lm(4000K) ; 720lm(6500K)

Or the Aldi Smart Lights if you can still find some stock.

    • +1

One of these produces around 3000 lumens, but a 9W bulb produces less than 800 lumens. So you would need around four downlights to match one panel.

      • Thanks, I knew I was missing something.

    • Colour temp is how 'warm' the light appears, lower temp is yellower/warmer, higher looks bluer.
Nothing to do with the power of the light.

  • The Mounting brackets cost as much as the lights :O https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/143113411739

    • This is an old gen panel in op posts - back in the day it probably would have cost $80+ retail easily

New osram/ledvance panels are roughly only 25 watt but still produce over 3600lm

  • if this was 5200K panel, it would be perfect for a light box

    • Not really, you'd need to check the colour spectrum output. Probably not even across it.
