[VIC] Stanley Fatmax V60 Range (54V System): Mower Kit $399 & More @ Mitre 10, Wallington

130

Howdy All,

Seems Mitre 10 are running out the Stanley 54V range of outdoor equipment at my local store. (They are manager specials so links aren't reflective of prices, and I can only list one photo as main image but I have the photos available).

54V Self Propelled Mower Kit incl. 5.0AH battery - $399 - no internet info but previous OzB link suggests a steel deck which would be decent and is much cheaper!!
54V hedge trimmer kit incl. 2.5AH battery - $249 54V Hedge Trimmer Skin 600mm
54V brushless chainsaw kit incl. 5.0AH battery - $299 Link to skin 54V Brushless Chainsaw Skin
54V brushless blower kit incl. 5.0AH battery - $299 Link to skin 54V V60 Brushless Blower
And the trimmer skin but didn't get photo or price. (RRP $319 on Mitre 10

Considering the 2.5AH battery is $239 and 5.0AH battery is $299, you're getting the tool (and charger) in many of the above for free.

The mower price seems very decent but I'm not familiar with Stanley Fatmax as an electric tool brand and not much info on their website or Mitre 10s. Hopefully others can share their experiences.

Any inslights into why there's not much info on the V60 range on the Stanley website, would be appreciated too.

Stanley is Chinese owned but in my experience they haven't trashed the quality. It's still an intermediate brand but the price is definitely right

    • What? Where did you get this idea from? What Chinese company owns Stanley?

      • Here on ozb! Looks like it was wrong!

Stanley is under the Black & Decker umbrella as is Dewalt. The Stanley cordless tools share A LOT of components with previous generation Dewalt tools, as an example if you look at the 18v chainsaw it's essential identical to the Dewalt one. Yes they're made in china but what isn't.

    Price?

    • Depends on what you want out of the range??…I've listed the prices in the post.

  • Other Mitre10's would not honour this price surely?

The Stanley Fatmax mower is awesome!!!

I used the v20 brushless Mower (not self propelled) for a recent 24 hour charity event and it didn't miss a beat. Mower was running for most of the 24 hours (I changes batteries every hour to be safe). I loved the side extraction of the grass option.

If you want to see it (& me) in action head to https://worldrecordattempt.com.au/.

That's unreal. Congrats on the World Record! And for a great cause. Well done. Maybe the self-propelled one might've helped take a little load off haha. (but guessing that'll get you disqualified). I'll add that shoey is gross but good onya!

So has the grassed grown back since ;)

On a serious note, have you kept using the mower? I'm actually thinking I might pick one up now. Had my heart on a ryobi 36V because was keen on getting the lawn scarifier in the same eco-system, add it that I do not have a heap of disposable cash right now….but I'm really tempted by this now.

Hey @PleasureMachine, yes the self propelled one was not allowed. I actually auctioned off the mower so not using it now. & yes the grass has grown back now, It took about 2 months.

I can say that the batteries never overheated once. considering they never got a break as they were in the mower being used or on charge I founf that impressive. (we rotated 4 batteries so always had fresh ones),

The mower never missed a beat and was relatively quiet..

Awesome, if ever there was an OzB comment that deserved 100 likes its this one. Kudos!

  • Daaamn that's a bloody good deal!

They're definitely a brand that's not very popular but they use to make decent enough quality screw drivers (hand ones). Not sure how diverse their battery range is though

  • $1109 for a relative no-name mower!! No wonder they've dropped the price!!

  • Cannot see this model anywhere online. Must be discontinued
