Games are not utilizing all the power for PS5 right now, why do you think Sony will launch a pro model so soon?
They're really squeezing their RRP margins on these now hey - sales must have dropped off the cliff
The real problem may be the overstocking. Microsoft and Sony does not make too much on console but make major profit from PS subscription and games. That is why both Xbox and Sony are focusing on their console market share.

I've just been looking up what games there are available for the PS5.
Literally the only one that interests me is GT7. Everything else that comes remotely interesting to me (God of War, and the sequal will likely come soon too, Elden Ring, Death Standing, the Last of Us (bad port though), Hitman World), are also ported on the PC. But literally it's just GT7.
I really don't see a reason to get this for that reason… I'll just spend on a gaming PC instead, and play Forza Motorsport instead.
…but that will mean spending ~$1000 vs this $700.

This joke is commonly heard with respect to stocks. Especially on subreddits ASX and WSB. E.g. an unlucky trader that always buys high and sells low. So if you know they’re unlucky, you wait for them to purchase because you know price will drop in the future.

Nope, the cost of all electronics come down over time as production costs come down. All consoles in the past have had price reductions throughout their lifecycles.
