      no its not. it's physically remove the bin, twist the lid, empty, twist lid back on, re-insert. Dyson is push button, empty, push lid back

  Dyson is just overrated c-rap. Only thing good about my barrel vac is the long cord. I prefer $60 kmart vac to both dyson barrel and stick. Definitely going miele in future.
