Runs flawlessly at 4K on the most powerful gaming console ever. PC nerds malding

      • Thanks to dynamic resolution every game can "run at 4k".

          It's native 4k60fps noob

          • @Drpepper666: Just because it is outputting 4k, does not mean it is always internally rendering at 4k. Noob.

            • @Aureus: Diablo 4 is. read > comprehend > post :)

            • @Aureus: Series X is targeting native 60@4k, 60@1080 for series S. Not upscaled, native. Of course, gotta wait to see how well it hits those targets in the final release version. There's unconfirmed reports they'll have a 120@1080 performance mode in a later patch, for series X at least.

@ashanrath: Lots of games for XBX/PS5 target 4k, but still scale resolution internally to ensure you still get 60fps under load.

                • +1

@Aureus: Sure, and there's other games like the latest Ori that do native 120@4k, or 60@6k super-sampled. Halo Infinite is another that's locked at 60@4k from memory. Just need to wait and see if D4 hits above or below it's target come release (and no doubt a few months of patches).

Windows Central has a list differentiating between 4k and dynamic 4k for reference too:

I miss the old Xbox bundles/editions where they made the console look cool …

    • +3

I miss Nintendo 64 with clear consoles and gold consoles.

      • Bring back clear/see-through console

    • I miss consoles dropping in price within 2 years of release. The RRP of the PS5 and Series X is actually higher now.

      • No, RRP for sx is $750 so this is a drop.

    • Xbox had a halo themed edition for the latest console…

  • Looks like my order got cancelled
