Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer Ferrari 488 Challenge Edition Racing Wheel (for PC) $514.50 + $11.95 delivery ($0 with OnePass) @ Catch

70

This is a simracing steering wheel and belt-driven motor/wheelbase for PC only. It is on sale at 50% off. Note that it does not include pedals.

It has 60% more torque than the popular T300 and TX wheelbases also made by Thrustmaster.

Here is Thrustmaster's web page about the TS-PC: https://www.thrustmaster.com/products/ts-pc-racer-ferrari-48…

This guy says the TS-PC has about 6Nm of torque and that it is significantly better than the TX or T300: https://yousuckatracing.com/2022/11/30/thrustmaster-ts-vs-tx…

I am not going to buy it now because I don't need it. But you might need it.

  • PC ONLY

  • NO PEDALS INCLUDED

    • The Fanatec one for sure. I use a T300, and can't wait to upgrade to DD.

The 5nm can become 8nm with a more powerful power supply. I didn't research, but I assume the base would not tell if it is the overpriced original Fanatec PSU or a cheaper powerful one. Fanatec has a bigger ecosystem and user base, so it is easier to keep upgrading later.

The pedals on the Fanatec bundle are not good, but you can sell it and buy a T-LCM used for about $200. Or, for about $300 you can get Aliexpress Simsonn/Simjack Pro pedals or used Fanatec Clubsport V3.

A setup like mentioned above would be very decent and not require an upgrade for a long time, unless you get very hardcore (and spend a lot more).

    • I would get the Fanatec bundle. I have the CSL pedals and I bought the Load Cell Kit that adds a load cell brake pedal, then the old brake pedal becomes your clutch. This reviewer said the CSL pedals with Load Cell Kit is superior to the T-LCM pedals that I was also considering: https://youtu.be/wuxSJDfcCBQ

    • Definitely the Fanatec one, a current model DD vs a 6-year old belt drive…

  • Is half of that price now at 257
