  • Excellent price. Snagged mine for $1449 the other day and thought that was good. Great drone too. Replaced a Mavic Pro, which I really liked, but the camera on this one is a real upgrade.

    3s is coming

    • Yep, all these recent sales on the AIR 2S suggest the 3 isnt far away

    • that's the one i'm waiting for, im so excited.

Excellent deal but with so many restrictions I'll pass.

    • Restrictions?

      • Possibly means geo-restrictions. No fly zones.

        • +1

There's also heaps of rules even without automatic enforced restrictions. Really limits legal and fun use cases.

While there may not be any software restrictions, there are definitely more restrictions with FPV drones compared to normal drones.

        • Like what? Btw, i consider “normal drones” being DIY ones :)

          • +1

@nuker: Legally you need approval to fly FPV drones outdoors.

            https://www.casa.gov.au/drones/drone-rules/flying-first-pers…

I meant non-FPV drones as normal regardless of if they are DIY or not :)

          • @nuker: factor in costs for a transmitter, some goggles, a ton of batteries that only last 3-5 minutes per, a ton of spare parts as the average joe will crash and break parts. Hardly a deal or a comparison to DJI drones. I wouldnt recommend fpv to any average person. cmon m8

            • @tollcompetitor: Yep, all true. I posted it for people to see that there is other stuff, educational wise.

Can we group buy one as OzBargain and send it to Ukraine?

    • +6

nuh, doesn't have that good of a range, let alone battery - we wouldn't even see it clear our mainland.

    • There was a number of news articles from Europe that said China has shared software with Russia to track the dji drones. Ukrainians use them still but launch and land them about 500m from where the person controlling them is located as Russia was hitting those locations with artillery. The dji software is no longer on Google play store because of American anti trust.

Bought a dji mini 2 combo over a year ago. I have used it less than 10 times. Drones are the type of gadgets that you wished you had and once you buy one, you find its a waste of money.

    • +2

It's not the drone but paranoia related to drones kills the fun.

      • +1

Nah, it's the random people coming up to you and having a chat about your drone or asking you to fly over somewhere etc

    • +1

I can count the new mcwr of times I used my DJI mini on one hand…with fingers to spare to pick my nose

    • good point by the way

  • +1

Yeah all these restriction kills any deal available

  • This or a mini 3 pro? These are just a bit bigger I imagine?

    • +2

mini 3 Pro for me :)

    • All I am waiting for is a mini3 pro under $1k again :(

      • Was that for the flymore combo or just the drone with the good remote controller?

  • +1

yeah its over 250g means your hit with alot Drone regulations. In many countries. best to stick with the 250g drones.

Perfect mother's day gift. Thanks OP
