  • And here I was about to buy the Legion Y700
    too many choices

    • If it makes your choices any easier, I think pad 6 doesn't have microSD expansion

    • +1

Way too small screen for my liking

  • MAY30 was maxed yesterday's already

    • It's single use per account. Works for me.

  • +3

Snapdragon 8+ gen1, plus the rest. It's pretty top end specs for the money

    • Bit sad about no OLED screen though

      • Honestly outside of the Galaxy tab S8 Ultra, you won't find too many tablets with OLED on the market.

I know there's exceptions and a few models floating around, but it's not yet "the norm".

The Mini-LED of the 12.9" iPad Pro is probably the next best thing.

        • Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022 is the cheapest option for a good OLED display. Same price as this, I ordered the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022 8GB+128GB SD870 version for $580 just yesterday. I mostly use a tablet at night so the LCD is distracting for my use and I don't need SD8Gen1 perfromance.

  • Says "China Version".. Does it have GApps pre-installed on ROM? Or manual install?

    • +2

It's a manual install. I believe it can be easily done through the mi app store.

      • I did the exact same thing with my Xiaoxin pad. I guess it's safer than downloading Google Play from some other site.

  • Curious… would it be worthwhile waiting for the Global version ?

    • +4

Potentially if it's released globally. There's always the risk of 3rd party "global ROMs" with unlocked bootloader and no Widevine. This has plagued the latest Lenovo tablets.

    • More expensive.. It's hitting more than $1k on the 512GB version for me and charging tax coming in.

  • Looks good

  • nice find. looks unbeatable for an android tablet at this price range

  • +1

How's note taking on this compared to S8 tab?

    • By note taking do you mean using a stylus? Because as far as I can tell it doesn't come with a stylus and it doesn't support a active one like a tab S8 does.
i would love to be proven wrong though, because I would buy it if it did.
Currently I use a cheap passive stylus on my Fold 2 and it obviously doesn't provide palm rejection.
I have been trying to find a android tablet in this price range with a high refresh rate screen that has stylus support.

      • +1

This tab has stylus support and recently mi released gen 2 stylus but the bad thing is they sell it separately. You can find the stylus in ali express and here is the video

        • Oh my goodness, that is amazing. Thanks so much for the detailed reply.
Do you happen to know what kind of stylus it is? As in would a stylus from the Samsung Note series be compatible?
I am guessing it is not really easy to find out, but if you happen to know that would be great.
I also have a stylus from my HP Pavilion x360, in case that happens to be the same kind of stylus.
I actually accidentally bought a Lenovo USI stylus for Chromebooks,, that doesn't happen to be compatible does it?

I am so confused because of all these different kinds of pens.

          • @Musabbir99: Buy the stylus from the same brand as the main device for example if you are using a lenovo tab for sure your lenovo stylus will work with it. So I would suggest you to buy Mi stylus if you have a mi pad

  • Pricing is a bit different for me, coming in at $659.97 including all codes, GST (thanks Gerry!) and free shipping. Do I need to shop using US pricing to get the price lower?

  • Hey Has anyone ended up buying it?

  • I cannot add both discounts… has anyone done it?

    • +1

Are you using the app? What does it say when you try to apply each?

      • when using the app it adds the CHATPO4, but does not let me add the other

        • Yep expired now

  • Looks like the MAY30 coupon is done
