NobleChairs Hero ST PU Leather Gaming Chair Black Edition $599 (RRP $950) + Delivery ($0 to Metro/ MEL C&C) @ PC Case Gear

60

Not sure if I'm bugging but the prices don't follow the same order from manufacturer to retailer.
The Hero is the original and the Hero ST is their newer updated product (better). All prices AUD$.

From Noblechairs:
Hero ST Pu Leather - $949
Hero Pu leather - $799
Hero ST Fabric - $749
Hero Frabic - $699

From PC Case Gear:
Hero ST Pu Leather - $599
Hero Pu leather - $599
Hero ST Fabric - $649
Hero Frabic - N/A

I am not sure if there is a difference somewhere I’m missing but from what I can see the Hero ST pu leather from PC case gear is incorrectly priced.

Hmm nice find. I have a 2nd hand Noblechair and after 4 years it still looks the same as the day I picked it up. Way better than SecretLabs

    • Could not agree more, I almost bought a second-hand one for $500, but honestly, the setup and peace of mind from tightening your own screws and warranty is worth the extra $100. I just cant believe this isn't a pricing error, maybe ill email them and ask one day lol

    "Leather"

    • yeah not real leather but the real stuff for maintenance and is way out of my budget. maybe one day.

I think these are cheaper from Costco, the Hero PU Leather one is at least. They don't have the ST version but they have a number of others. They do sometimes have discounts on select ones too.

    Costco's Range of Noblechairs

    • Yeah, I had messaged them asking about potentially stocking the Hero ST but they had no immediate intentions to do so. I imagine if they ever do it will likely be cheaper if this really isn't an error on the price from PC case Gear.

How do these compare to ergohuman chairs?

    • I mean for me, heavy and large as (profanity), the ergo human ones just wouldn't fit me and are too 'thin' if that makes sense. I am sitting in the Noblechair now and I feel like I'm in an army tank with million-dollar suspension. I cannot even begin to describe the sheer child-like joy of finally having a chair that goes up to my head and doesn't budge when I sit in it. The casters are also way too smooth to not roll around everywhere so make sure you remember to actually walk places lol. I mean its german engineering, can't say more than that.

        Username checks out

  • At this price id save up more and get a Steelcase or something.

    • Yeah, Steelcase made it high on my list but for similar specs in terms of strength, build quality, component movement and chair form around the body you're looking at $1500AUD and up. That's for my dimensions and priorities at least. If I were smaller and didn't have a fixation on certain things, id be close to going for the Steelcase Series 1 or 2, maybe even the personality plus if I'm on a tighter budget. Steelcase does look better and has a nuts warranty but it ain't holding me for long.

You're prob better off spending the same amount of money on an office chair which will be more supportive and ergonomic

    • Not for me. Was a tough choice but I have a higher priority in the chair holding up over the ergo stuff. Hero St has enough ergonomics to allow me to sit for 6 hours without getting sore. In terms of support, ain't nothing I've found below at least $1200 AUD that would do the same job for me. But I do agree with you, the Hero st is only an option if you're big.

Sorry, I should've added more context. I bought this before I posted.

I have spent the last solid 6 months deciding on a chair. It came down to specifically the Hero ST and as far as I could find PC case gear is the only Australian retailer that sells this newer variant. I had the fabric one in my cart for a solid month (because it's cheaper) but didn't want to commit to the money. Then somehow this popped up so I ordered it on the spot in case it was an error. I could recite the specs of far too many chairs I went that deep into research.

The thing is unreal and I mean I already knew it was going to be. HOWEVER, this is specific to me. I am 6'7' and 120kg. So I could definitely see how someone else may not like it at all. It's hella firm but I need that for my weight because plush chairs become unusable after a while from being crushed by the sheer weight of my massive balls.

Seriously though, If anyone is in the market for a chair and has any questions I can help or send through my excel of chairs. Starts at Herman Miller and runs own to generic no brand amazon chairs. Mind you they are all for larger people.

    • Im 6'1, 125 and broad across the shoulders & back. So I got rid of my Herman miller size C pretty quick as there's 0 upper support. I had a mesh Ergo human for a bit, the headrest was good. But I felt, like, suspended and bouncy instead of supported.
How do you find the ST across your shoulder blades etc.. ?

  • With how PU leather gets with it flaking and weaking down easly and quickly im surprised people still go them them over fabric ones.

    • Yeah, this was the only caveat for me. But as long as I can stay committed to maintaining it properly I should be fine. Also fabric stains far too easier and that's a much greater risk for me. The PU leather has been far too easy to wipe down and clean. The grey fabric of the HERO st also discolours a bit where you sit or sweat, which isn't pretty.

Ideally, I'd love a pure black fabric but I can't complain.

While ive never owned a chair from that specific company ive got a competitor and mines never stained at all after a two years heavy use, if you tend to spill things on your furniture then i understand but from normal use ive never had any issue with mine. The flaking though with the PU leather chair i used to have was horrible with bits flaking off, and it looked so bad.

    • +1

But a cheap fabric car seat cover from super cheap. The flaking won't stick to you then. Get a wool cover for winter, normal cheap fabric one for summer. Easily washable too!

  • Anyone know of a chair that has a swivel lock? Can't see one even in this price range or higher from NobleChairs. For flight simming, need one if you're using rudder pedals.. even if not, ideally your chair shouldn't swivel if you're trying to replicate flying a plane.

Surprised that this feature is hard to find.
