I am not a hundred per cent certain of how good this price is (so please be kind and correct me if I am wrong so I can amend the post) but the next best price I could find was $396 plus shipping so $239 delivered seems to be a great price. It also has 1 year Australian warranty.
It is declared as the deal of the day so I assume this price is only valid for today.

Just ignore those comments - they are of no use whatsoever. Of course people use Pentax cameras.
However, this lens is available for cheaper $186 - http://www.eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au/pentax-smc-da-l-55-3…
It's the DA lens that goes up for about $300, this one is DA L - average price around $200Thanks for letting me know. The total price there is $235 delivered from Hongkong. Hence it is indeed cheaper by $4 but of course you have to wait longer and forgo the Australian waranty which makes it less complicated to rectify issues. I am not certain if that is worth it for $4 savings.
DWI is a Grey Import seller, shipped from OS I thought. No mention of inc. GST.
If you buy anything from overseas below the value of $1000 (including postage) there is no GST charged. The price you see in your cart is what you will pay - not a cent more.
And if you can send the item back to them if there any problem is probably worth $4 rather than paying the postage back to HK (eglobaldigitalcameras).Cheaper at EGlobal. No deal.
That has already been pointed out as well as the fact that for a $4 savings you have to wait longer and it comes from HongKong rather than from Australia (which also gives you a local warranty).
No need for this kind of behaviour really. We are all here to help. Please do something contructive with your day instead of trolling.Take it easy, mate. Gallifrey is not the sales rep or associated with DWI.
DWI ship from Aus? Huh
Looks like it on the webpage - if not tell me and I correct what I can. I just saw the deal. I am not associated in any way with them. I just think it is a good price and I like the fact it is easy to see total cost (as opposed to having to clauclate shipping first). It also states on their website faulty items can be returned to an Australian agent/address which makes it easier for me personally than sending items to HongKong and then arguing about whether or not eglobal reimburses me for the postage.

Touché
Versatile lens, especially if you have a kit 18-55.
I have the L version, and it's quite sharp and has good color for a consumer lens.
The L version lacks Quickshift (Manual AF override) and a hood.
Another expensive coffee mug.
Which you can set down on your expensive coffee mug coaster, ie a Chinese tablet
DWI =EGLOBAL
They are the same company ship items from Hong Kong. always a few dollars cheaper at Eglobal though. If that is so then a lot of the discussion here is irrelevant and academic. Should have posted that before mate. ;-)
Note that the 7 year warranty is $29 cheaper ($30 vs $59 on eglobal), so total with 7 year warranty is $25 cheaper. Note that I am not recommending the warranty, just providing info.
Great, thank you.
Happy to give moral support. Your intention was good. Too many negative comments tend to discourage posters for genuine efforts that do little or no harm and could benefit many.
Some of us do use Pentax cameras.
