If you need/want to rid yourself of the wires and move about during online meetings (Zoom, Teams etc.) or while recording videos (tiktok, youtube, facebook etc.) the two best options in the market are:
Rode Wireless Go II
DJI Mic
Rode Wireless ME is the new kid on the block, but there are tradeoffs and it might be a better option if you think you will never need to record more than one person.
Rode Wireless Go II has been cheaper in Jun'22 for $278 and Jan'23 on eBay for $296 and also in Jan'23 on Amazon for $300
I've been waiting for it since June'22 and for some reason totally missed the price drop in Jan'23.
Rode Vs DJI is a topic for another debate and there are pros and cons for both. The Interwebs is full of that, but I think for Australians it makes much more sense to go with Rode Wireless Go II because of $120 price difference currently.
Yes, Rode might require one to buy an accessory or two depending on your specific needs, but that's a choice or a decision you need to make. I settled on Rode and bought it just now.
Buy it from DigiDirect on eBay for $319.20 (eBay Plus not required, use coupon code: DIDI20)
Stock information at the time of posting: More than 10 available / 276 sold
For some weird reasons I need simultaneous output (i.e. both USB audio and 3.5mm/TA4F) on the receiver. But never able to find out if Wireless Go II supports such use case. Anyone know?
