I recently bought a pair of Edifier R1855DB speakers and i'm looking for a subwoofer to pair with them ideally no more than $350 but would rather in the $200 range. I've heard reports that it lacks power when paired with passive subs so i'd rather just stick to an active subwoofer for peace of mind. Does anybody have any recommendations? I'm not exactly a giant audiophile but I'd just like a more 'full' sound.
What setting do you use them in? I've had the same speakers for a few years and I find them just fine for my office setup (and I appreciate good audio).
