Buying an iPad and Want to Earn Some Velocity Points

Looking to buy an iPad before we leave for a holiday in about 5 weeks. Keen to grab some velocity points however I can on this purchase as I have more Qantas points than I can reasonably spend.

Are there any good ways to earn Velocity points on a $1,000 Apple purchase? I have a Virgin Money card that will earn towards it but would like to double dip

    one option would be to wait for Apple GC offer (Earn 20X flybuys) at Coles. convert these 20k flybuys to 10k VFF plus whatever you earn on your card for spending 1k at coles.

      Yeah this is something I have in mind. Still have 5 weeks to go before we head off so hopefully one comes up before then

      Bing Lee is currently 3 points per dollar, apple is 2 points per dollar

          oops I just checked, binglee does not include apple, but there is an apple store

    Best bet would be to get a new card with a minimum spend of eg $3k within 90 days to earn 70k+ points.
