I have bought 2 things from this seller. They are very helpful, and I honestly think they'll honour the 1 year warranties. However, their product descriptions are terrible and there's not much info. You might get an optical drive with this, you might not. The pics show 2 different models. So you have to ask.

I bought a Surface Pro 5 from them the last sale for about $280 and the description and photos only showed the Surface and AC adadpter. When I received it I also got a keyboard and it was in great condition.

Legit seller, accurate descriptions of the physical condition, just not complete info on the specs and what's included. Just ask to make sure, or get surprised with extra shit.

  • Man I hate HP’s crappy specs pages compared to Dell’s. I think this has 2x3.5” bays and a 2.5” bay based on searching? Anyone able to confirm please? And actual data ports available?

Does Dell have an SFF model that takes minimum 2x3.5” drives? Last piece of my puzzle hah.

I have a couple of these and they have a rubber/screw mount 3.5" and 2.5" bay, a slimline bay for the ODD (if it has one - and I've used a converter to change one back to a 2.5") and a normal screw 3.5" that's for the front panel (which you should be able to use without popping out the front panel).
It only has 3x SATA ports and no m.2 which means you can't really use all of them at once though.

If you do end up buying one and get stuck for the rubber/screw mounts, I might be able to help you out with a few.

  • Not bad for a cheap and cheerful PC. Cheaper than buying a Win 10/11 Pro OEM DVD!

  • Not sure why anyone would buy a pi if these are same price

    • +2

There's more to it than cost

Size, power consumption, GPIO mainly. Very friendly to beginners wanting to learn to code (it's mostly plug and play with great beginners docs)

If you're looking to fire up home assistant, kodi, retropie etc, it's way more user friendly to load up an entire OS image made for the pi and let it just sit in a box hidden away.

Fair enough. Reasonable for those use cases. I thought it was solely for the cost efficient PC scene

        • +3

If you want a cheap pc then yeah something like this is a better buy, imo. I'm sure some people do buy Rpi for that reason, but most people have a more niche use than straight up general computing.

    • Power usage, size, fanless ?

  • Can any graphics cards fit in these.

    • +1

With appropriate metal working tools, yes

    • +4

      Yes*

It's SFF so designed for low profile cards, but most other GPUs will fit without the cover on.

Also assuming the GPU doesn't need extra power that the OEM PSU doesn't have, which limits most upgrades to a 1050ti or 1650ti.

  • Thanks OP, snagged a different model, and a monitor, $160ish should see me a decent setup for the GOG library (OR if i can find a cheap GFX card, it would be a good base for VPN, maybe).

  • Do these have wifi?
