No idea, but I hope someone chimes in so I van make a decision.
Hopefully they do, otherwise Heusen we have a problem
Got a few Van shirts myself, had them for a few years and no complaints.
I have shirts/trousers from 8 years ago and can confirm quality has changed alot
@easternculture: Correct. Quality is not good. I'm wearing unknown South Korean brand business shirts (Countess Mara) and they are still crisp after many months. VH shirts are floppy and stretched and look like a high school kids shirt. The OzBargain in me will not throw these away as they still have utility but definitely not my first choice. Avoid if possible.
Nah imo I didn't like it for its quality. Went back and refunded it couple days later. As they say, you get what you pay for.
I bought a few years ago on a really good deal that I haven't warn half of them because of the covid. But they are good quality, minimal ironing. If price is a factor I would and did buy. Good value for money.
no, they are the bottom of the barrel.
these won't last long, but i guess the for the price you can't complain. it will last a few washes, then it turns into rags.
if you use it often, i would wait for a sale and get tm lewin or charles tyrwitt.
I thought one of those stores got bankrupt no?
The last time I bought these would have been around 2016 or so. None of my VH shirts still live, but I still have blaq shirts kicking around from that period.
I purchased a random Blaq shirt from the clearance bin a few months ago and it is surprisingly good.
these vs Charles Tyrwhitt
These are easier to spell
CT all the way
CT but CT sizing is weird. they super slim not slim at all.
It's to make people like feel better about ourselves.
CT better but if you're after a few cheapies to restock, theyre ok. Worth $30, not $60.
Also, avoid their linen ones. They're great but a pita to iron. Unless you dryclean or love ironing 🤷♀️
You are not meant to iron linen. It's meant to have creases
No business shirt is meant to look like you sat on it in the back seat of your car for a week. It's just a poor choice for the job.
Linen is never meant to be for formal settings
Depends on just how creased or crumpled the shirt is though.
are returns free?
Do people still wear ties? I remember wearing one back in the day when my manager expected me to be in the office 5 days a week and work back 2 hrs for free every day.
Only when going to court, but all my buddies tell me that judges take pity on you when you present in your finest of Tarocash suits.
Good to know for next time.
Been doing it all wrong by wearing suits from ConnorNice one mate had a chuckle
Worth a shot at $25ea, thanks OP
How do you guys rotate your shirts? I have 3 shirts and I wash them after wearing them 2 times and I wash every Friday afternoon when I finish work
Monday Shirt 1
Tuesday Shirt 2
Wednesday Shirt 3
Thursday Shirt 1
Friday Shirt 2Wash Shirt 1&2 leaving Shirt 3 for next week.
Monday Shirt 3
Tuesday Shirt 1
Wednesday Shirt 2
Thursday Shirt 1
Friday Shirt 2Wash all 3 shirts and 3 shirts are available the following week
A true Oz bargainer would not forget a day each for back to front and inside out
If you’re washing 1 & 2 on Friday arvo, why not chuck #3 in too?
My shirts must only be washed after wearing it 2 times. It will be a waste to wash it if only worn once.
Do you wear a tshirt underneath?
Wouldn't it get wrinkly and stinky after one wear??@diddy50: No, i dont wear undershirt
I work in an office with aircon so the sweat or stink
wow, I thought I was the only one doing it. Nice to know that there are others who wear their shirt twice before washing it.
sometimes 3 times if the shirt is still clean
For e.g
Week 1 i might wear Shirt 1 three times so I only use 2 shirts in the week
Tell me you don’t live in Queensland without telling me that you don’t live in Queensland..
We’ve been having 24degree, 70pc humidity nights up until about midnight or 2am in the morning during the height of our summer periods. It would be impossible to wear any piece of clothing for more than a day max.
i have a ton of shirts but probably rotate through 15. then i throw in a different shirt pattern depending on my mood, event, holiday, etc…
i wear my shirt the whole work day so i only wear it once then get it dry-cleaned. i wear a suit, no undershirt, work in my office with air conditioning.
i still only wear my shirt once then get it washed. it's not dirty, but i just feel gross wearing an unwashed shirt. to me it's like re wearing underwear or socks because it doesn't stink. i wouldn't do that, i wear once then wash.
Interesting, I wear my socks for whole a week before washing
Underwear is different though
Same, never wear shirts / undies / socks more than once without getting them washed.
I used to dry clean my shirts but it became unsustainable, mainly on the wallet.
VH shirts are not good.
why? i heaard they're better than CK
Ok then buy but dont tell me you were not warned. Cheap quality mate
Yeah but how bad quality are they?
Do they still pin them with 8000 pins in the packet?
Yes - and with those little plastic tags that will leave holes when you remove them.
I got some four years ago when they were on click frenzy for $25 ea. Theyre still going ok but im happy to top up. Thanks OP
Anything more than $9 for VH shirts is a rip-off.
Haha…a bad buy is a bad buy….I feel bad about the wasted time effort and resources expensed…would have been better to put into other things than crappy shirts!
I was wondering if anyone knows how to find out the Van Heusen's Shirting Fabric Weights? I like it made of thicker cotton. Thanks in advance.
Pay a bit more and get TM, CT or MJ
The 120-year-old business was bought out of administration in 2020 by SCP Private Equity. Soon after the rescue deal, its new owner announced it would close all 66 of TM Lewin's physical stores as the retailer repositioned itself as an online business trading exclusively in the UK.29 June 2022
I bought these $25 shirts.
My only issue was that I couldn't stack the $40 shirts (which had better material: 100% cotton) with their welcome offer ($20 off for $80 purchase).
Quality remains to be seen but obviously not expecting CT quality …
You get what you pay for after all but still better than Kmart ones at the same price range, I reckon.
I still wear VH shirts that I bought years ago although they were 100% cotton.
Btw, don't forget cashback from CR or SB, not much but it helps …Can anyone tell me where are these made nowadays
I've bought a few in the past year and all were made in Indonesia.
The shirts are obviously not as good as brands like TM, but the quality is ok. Except that the collar stays are sewn in, so they degrade faster from washing and can make the collar look beaten up.
I bought a shirt from susu recently. Just a white royal Oxford slim fit shirt. It was $160 but it was quite nice. Does anyone know where to get something similar for significantly cheaper? Including overseas/taobao etc
All sold out by the looks of it.
They will probably have an EOFY sale in June with similar pricing.
I am pretty sure it was mostly if not all, bought by people complaining here about quality and it being garbage and all.
Thanks OP. Too lazy to go to the mall so i bought a few business shirt 👍🏿😁
Thanks OP, I bought four new shirts and also used the new account sign up code for an extra $20 off.
Outdated prince of wakes shirt for cheap, lol.

These any good?
