But have you seen the collector's selling on eBay? People are willingly bidding over $300, so someone else who gets a pre-order can then send it to them. When pre-orders from Amazon, BigW and the Gamesmen are STILL available. It makes no freaking sense to me and yet I want in on the action. Re-sellers could drop ship it and make $150 per sale.

In all my years I've bought from Harvey Norman a total of 5 times and all 5 times they either delivered the wrong item, charged the wrong amount, or delivered to the wrong address somehow (the last one might be Aus Post) and then had to deal with their God awful customer service (that once blamed me for the wrong item) to get my money back - never again.
That's a real shame. I've only recently preordered pokemon violet and the ore order and pickup process was seamless. Will see how this experience with Zelda goes.
Yeah I had one bad experience with them. Local HN had no stock of what I needed so ordered through the website and paid for shipping. Get a phone call after a month of waiting from the local HN store saying they had my order at the store even though I paid for shipping. Never again

It'll be more expensive in Japan, just got back and from memory it was 7900 yen, and it'll be in Japanese only, no English.
Like groook said. Region free but many lack English localisation. Only worthwhile if it's a Japanese exclusive.

:) On the 12th (Friday) while on bus on the way to work, Amazon AU was telling me to order by 9AM to get the item delivered by 9PM same day ($74). Take that Gerry - I was pretty sure you'd get the game quicker than some HN preorder customers…
Ended up cancelling the order and picked up from another HN store (salesperson was great) who rung it up then discounted the TOTK controller I was after with the $20 voucher. Took me 5 mins.

Just to put it out there: TOTK Collector's edition = ($189) vs TOTK $78 + TOTK Pro Controller $109 - $20 voucher = ($167).
For me it seems like a decent deal, even with the Gerry Harvey factor.
